Is Trump warming to Kasich as his running mate after the last debate? If Donald Trump manages to win the Republican presidential nomination (and this is becoming less of an âifâ with each passing day), then he must select a vice-presidential running mate. Surely it will be tough for The Donald to share the national ticket with anyone, but at least he will still be on top. With this decision potentially on the horizon, did Trump spontaneously drop a hint about who could be on his veep short-list during Thursday nightâs Republican debate?
The answer is yes.

“I still like Trump Cruz or Cruz Trump”
Trump/Cruz isn’t happening. The birth certificate folly sealed that deal. Best Cruz can do if he loses in the primaries is AG with a shot at SCOTUS once Ginsburg permanently falls asleep.
I am thinking it will be Trump/Rubio since Rubio offsets Hillary’s selection of Castro.
Which then leads to the question, if Trump is the nominee, will Conservatives stay home?
Kasich can go choke. I despise him. I’ll never forget his excuse of using his Christian faith to expand Obamacare, or his self-congratulatory backslapping for his open-mindedness for attending a homo-marriage ceremony. I’d like to just throw a brick into that smarmy, repellent face of his.
If he’s on anyone’s ticket, from Trump to Cruz or whomever, there’s no way in hell it would get my vote.
LOL.
It would suck. I also doubt it. Too many other, more palatable choices.
I'm sure it was for a calculated assumed advantage only....just my guess.
If Trump wants to win, the mailman!s son won’t be his VP.
I'm more amused that anyone here would give this article any merit.....and I haven't seen any posts supporting Kasich even if this were true.
Did I miss it?
One would hope with the momentum TRUMP has pushing him toward a win, he would have the brains (his or those of others) who would find this particular choice dis-satisfactory to the Conservative base. Trump - you can do much better than that.
The decision to make her VP was almost certainly calculated, but what I’m not sure about is if both the GOP-e and McLame agreed to that calculated decision, or if one certain person demanded this at the complaint of the rest.
I remember hearing it as a Bill Kristol suggestion, but someone higher up had to agree with his suggestion.
The word puke comes to mind...
Ah, the GOPe RINO scum continue to dream. Now they’ve lowered their sites to hoping they can snag the lowly VP position.
Ha! Yeah, I guess I’d be getting a lot of that! And like last time, the angst and anger directed towards me will only increase the curviture of my smile!
Actually, I do rather worry that either a Trump or a Cruz will pick some really rancid pick that queers the whole deal.
yes Trump has clearly stated anyVP will have to be strong on immigration..fantasy reporting by NR
What reason he agreed to it is in my view probably more pragmatic then agreement with her politically.
Meh, such is the nature of politics....you do what you have to do to win.
Kasich is solid on defense, budget, guns and life. He likes safety net and government education to lift people out of poverty. He can also help deliver ohio.
I prefer Cruz, Gingrich and Susanna Martinez in that order.
I'd vote Merkel/Kim (Jong Un) against Hillary if the GOP nominated them but this ticket would make me pine for Romney/Ryan. Icky.
And he weak on marriage, Obamacare.. And just grating to listen to.
may go for Jeb
Gingrich is krypton to social conservatives.
That would be a poisoned ticket.
Yes that is who he will pick. I thought Christie. Then Walker. But Christie does not offer a different region and Walker, well, that union thing which Trump disagrees with. So Kasich. I think he will pick Kasich.
