Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) on Friday called Bill Clinton's sexual scandals "totally disgraceful and unacceptable" but said he would not use the former president's infidelities against Hillary Clinton.
Sanders' comments came after an Iowa town hall attendee raised Bill Clinton's affair in the White House and questioned if Hillary Clinton was qualified to be president, the Washington Post reported.
"My question to you is, isn't one of the qualifications to be president to have some kind of moral authority?," the attendee asked Sanders. "I mean, how can you tell a Secret Service agent that he has to be fired for having an affair with a prostitute in a hotel room, but support a president who has an affair - a known affair - in the White House. It seems to me she isn't qualified."
"I hear what you're saying," Sanders responded. "Hillary Clinton is not Bill Clinton. What Bill Clinton did, I think we can all acknowledge was totally, totally, totally disgraceful and unacceptable.
"But I am running against Hillary Clinton. I am not running against Bill Clinton," he continued. "What we need to do as a nation is focus on the bloody issues facing this country."
Sanders said he would not discuss the personal lives of his rivals and would instead focus on the issues.
"I am not going to get into the personal stuff," Sanders said, according to The Washington Examiner. "We're looking at somebody who, in a long political career - you can call my friends in Vermont to verify this - I've never run a negative TV ad in my life.
"I am running against Hillary Clinton, we're not running against Bill Clinton," Sanders continued. "But I am running against Hillary Clinton, and I believe ... what we need to do as a nation - certainly something the Republicans are not doing - is focus on the bloody issues facing this country."
Bill Clinton's past is again under scrutiny after Donald Trump raised his past infidelities, calling him "one of the great woman abusers of all time."
Trump defended his attacks, saying Bill Clinton was fair game after Hillary Clinton accused the GOP front-runner of having a "penchant for sexism."
Why have Dems for so many years made excuses for or ignored the “disgraceful” escapades of their perverted mascot?

The Clinton did a shivv attack on Sanders’ family so he was responding. They got a little money through the Sanders campaign. Of course, it was basic toliet paper money for the Clinton’s.
Funny. He just did. Interesting to see him starting to slug harder and seemingly campaign harder. I wonder if someone in the DNC recognizes that they need a viable alternative and have taken the shackles off of his campaign?

Then the Clinton told the press Monica AND her mother were BOTH mentally unstable - and that Bill Clinton was 'ministering' to Monica out of concern and pity... The press bought the lie and started to run with it when Linda Tripp stepped forward. The Clintons used the power of the state, their War Room, shills in the press, and paid goons in the DNC to attack two powerless women - a mother and daughter... and almost got away with it. The blue dress put an end to the lies about Monica and her mother...
We weren't as lucky. The Clintons attacked conservatives with the lie about the 'vast right wing conspiracy' and stuck the FBI and Southern Poverty Law Center on Conservatives for YEARS... . Like the movie trailer lie...innocent powerless people were damaged for the sake of Clinton lies. The VRWC lies damaged thousands of conservative Americans and encouraged crap like the IRS going after Republicans.
What Hillary did was a whole lot different than just being a passive 'enabler'...
Sanders has standards but he needs to get a clue about what he's dealing with...

If it were not for Linda Tripp and her advice to Monica to save the blue dress, Monica would not have lived to see 1999.

It isn't "personal stuff" - it's malfeasance in office, enabled and abetted by the current candidate.
It isn’t “infidelities’. Who cares if Bill Clinton cheats on his wife? It’s hardly a marriage as most of us would understand it anyway.
The problem is RAPE, abuse of power for sexual favors, and intimidation of victims.
The last of these was coordinated by Hillary herself.
Every time the mainstream media says ‘infidelities’ they need to be corrected.
