McCarthy's demise comes hard on the heels of Boehner bowing out of the speakership as a sort of human sacrifice to the tea party right. And it happens as Donald Trump is in the midst of his fourth consecutive month as the Republican front-runner for the party's presidential nomination -- and with Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina, two other people who have never held elected office before, running in second and third place, respectively.

His mouth, affairs and connections to the current Speaker all sunk his butt.
Batman and Robin LOL
Everyone up there that plays ball is compromised in some way otherwise they wouldn’t be playing ball. The blackmail effect works wonders to change votes.
I like Newt as well, but I fear- rightly so I think, Newt’s ego is too big and would even get bigger, to do right for the American people.
For example.
Send the President a Omnibus budget bill that roles the whole Govt budget into 1 “take or leave it” bill. When 0 vetoes it, send him the same bill, with a 5% spending across the board spending cut. Repeat as necessary.
GOPe it is NOT necessary you win every fight. It is, however, necessary that you at least try and fight for us.
Democrats have one huge advantage over the GOPe. They know how to wield power, the GOPe does not
Something is odd. McCarthy went into that caucus meeting at 8 AM (EST) all about full steam ahead. Later, before the actual morning vote, he backs out! What happened in two hours?
The letter by the NC representative, to vet all of the candidates, was released last night already.
Why did McCarthy look so extraordinarily cheery today announcing a flip flop of two hours? His grins and jolly good crap hardly matched the seriousness of the occasion, did it? Weird.
Really?
As if the GOP-e leadership has been fighting for something.
They have been fighting for absolutely NOTHING.
Next bill you send after a veto is more harmful to Obama’s agenda. If he doesn’t like, it the next one is tougher yet on him. Obama and the Left need to be reminded that our system is designed to have checks and balances for a reason
GOpe has power at their finger tips they are too cowardly to weld.
Except there won’t be a chance to vote him out. Every time there is non consensus, the Speaker vote gets delayed indefinitely until a consensus is found. Boehner stays in his roll all the while, handing Obama and the Democrats a victory on government funding and any other pet project Obama has in mind. I am rooting of the conservatives in our party, but I think we may have just been bested here. Boehner avoids a no confidence vote but stays in his role until the Presidential election thus guaranteeing the completion of Obama’s political legacy of success under Republican congressional majorities.
Run Knute Run!
(Since everyone else is using alternate spelling of Noot’s name, I thought I would play too.) :D
Yeap - and most likely the dirt on Chaffetz will be leaked in a day or two if there is anything to leak.

Listenning to Hannity, they were floating the names of Rinos like Ryan. I won’t want a guy that wanted to vote for Amnesty, and has done nothing but show votes on Obamacare.
Even Dan Webster doesn’t have as conservative record as Jason had and he was allied with Boner.
I say none of they guys would stand a chance to do what Nute suggests needs to be done.
I hear the same old carping about Tea Party having 40 votes.
Let me make this clear the House and Senate being Republican didn’t happen because we like the inaction of Boner and McConnell.
60% of GOP feel betrayed. So you may not call yourself Tea Party because Obama and the Media demonized them but
WHAT THE TEA PARTY STANDS FOR IS SUPPORTED BY THE 60%
REPUBLICANS THAT FEEL BETRAYED BY THE GOPE.
"I love it when a plan comes together." ;)
Either of those would require some Republican leadership with a set of big, brass ones.
Or at least more regard for the good of the country than for what the MSM would say about them 24x7 before, during and after said actions (and how it might affect their personal re-election chances).
Vacate the Chair NOW
There's the Uniparty and the Tea Party. That's the reality.
Chaffetz is simply unsuitable for the job.
