Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump debated the use of the term anchor baby with a reporter at a press conference in New Hampshire on Wednesday.

BTW, please note that my concerns had nothing - as in zip zero nada - to do with a notion of “Presidential.” You read something into my post that just simply was not there.
not with Cruz in the field......we don’t have to throw the hail Mary this go round. Remember, the “Washington cartel” is not Trump’s term. Gee, who said this?
” I think Newt laid the ground work a bit four years ago - and DT has taken it to turbo level this go round.
I wonder, would Gingrich take the VP slot?
I would like to Mr Cruz and the other conservatives stay in the Senate or Governors chair.
but I have no doubt whatsoever that hes done the country a tremendous favor and service - regardless of what transpires from here.
After deliberate and due consideration, I have come to the conclusion that there is no reason that Trump should not be POTUS...those who claim otherwise, would have claimed the same regarding a number of previous presidents (Andrew Jackson comes immediately to mind), and they were roundly rejected in their opposition...
So by all means, pull the lever (or however you cast a vote) for the Donald...he qualifies as much as anybody ever has...
I totally reject this fatuous premise above....I have stated very clearly and very coherently my objections - and it's got nothing to do with "qualifications" or with "being Presidential." The man still has liberal reflexes. Disregard that at your own peril. At some point, he will not survive the gaffes on Planned Parenthood, Walker, Fannie and Freddie, etc. IT's a loooong campaign.
If Trump does nothing more than destroy political correctness, he will have done this country a great service. I am sick to death of these leftists maggots dictating the language.
Donald Trump holds some views that I disagree with but he is running on two issues
1. To actually solve the immigration fiasco
2. To cut the heart out of PC speech and to then feed the corpse through a wood chipper. - This is the real issue and it is incredibly important.
In my mind these are two most pressing issues in the US.
I’d rather deal with two very important issues - and these kill lots of people directly and indirectly too - than have a more incremental approach.
More than that if Trump believes the Constitution then his views on Abortion, Planned parenthood and the like are less important because he does NOT control the funding that is the job of Congress. Let Congress revoke the funding.
Lastly, in the liberal mind Trump is already scary. By taking a less threatening line to liberals about other issues he gets his agenda through and, like it or not, there are a lot of people that approve of the issues he has approached from the left.
BTW I am a Cruz supporter.
If it catches on it will be ABUDI
That kid in an ABDUI
Well, that kid is either one or the other...which is it...?
Oh how I have waited so long to have someone simply say NO to political correctness.
“Can you imagine every other candidate cowering in fear on how to react to that anchor baby question? (except Cruz)
That is B.T. (Before Trump) ...”
Yes, I can imagine all of them cowering in fear over using the term ‘anchor baby.’ And they would be issuing an apology the next day and groveling for forgiveness. Except for Trump.
Cruz is a globalist and in the pocket of Wall St as demonstrated by his support of fast tracking 3 secret trade deals Obama is negotiating. Cruz is not for the middle class workers as demonstrated by his desire to bring in one million per year (cheap) foreign workers via tripling H1 visas. Cruz is clueless on foreign policy as demonstrated by his desire to punish Egypt for over throwing its' Muslim Brotherhood government. Cruz voted to reauthorize the unconstitutional Patriot Act. Cruz voted for the Corker Amendment which practically insure Obamas' Iran deal passes Congress. I could go on, yes Trump is a risk, but so is Cruz.
I totally reject this fatuous premise above....
Inasmuch as my ‘silly and pointless’ remark was not directed at you per se, I totally reject your rejection...
you have conflated my phrase ‘those who claim otherwise’ with a slam at yourself; such is not the case, but if you wish to be hypersensitive, by all means, do so...
: )
now that’s funny
Rule of 65...... typos don’t count for an over 65 typist
Hear hear
Another example of politicaly correct speech. Liberals twist themselves cognatively every time.
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.
Then it was pointless to direct it at me, in response to MY objections - which is the context in which you replied. Now I don't disagree that there are some who fit your remark - to a tee - but yours truly ain't one of them.
Trump may go all the way. He may not. But, there is no doubt he is pushing back the constraints of the PC police and allowing all of us to have actual adult conversations about legitimate topics...including ‘Anchor Babies.”
I find nothing to disagree with above - or in your entire post frankly. BUT - and this is important - a Presidential campaign will leap outside of any one or two issues - regardless. And certainly being President cannot and will not be relegated to just a couple issues.
You and DT may be focused on only two issues - but reality is not so narrow - and reality will indeed intrude and force other issues on us. BTW, spoiler alert: Obama Care is coming back around with a vengeance as an issue, and DT is muddled on that. Just one example.
One thing I think many have overlooked is that because Trump was a Democrat in the past and is now a Republican, he has given Democrats permission to vote Republican - because when he speaks - people listen. I have 2 older sons, unfortunately, who have voted D in the past - (I also have 2 younger who are R’s - go figure), but, they are now on board with Trump. Donald is saying - just because you were born in the backseat of a Buick - it doesn’t make you a car. Anyway, Trump is moving right and many of the others are moving left. It’s a weird election cycle.
