Breitbart Texas has learned that 2016 Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump is heading to the Texas-Mexico border to get a firsthand look at the current border security situation. Trump is expected to meet with Border Patrol agents of the Laredo Sector.

The US Chamber of Crony Fascists is going to have to hire a hit-man soon.
Hold your nachos amigo.
Most of the time, it’s just a big PR stunt when someone declares a pilgrimage to the Border to see firsthand blah blah blah.
We shall see if this time is any different. Hopefully some good comes of it.
Good for him. All the other candidates are putting their head in the sand.
I think he wants to get first hand info out of the guards. Then he’ll blast Obama on the massive immigrant influx this year.
From what was said this morning they are honoring him for bringing attention to their situation
He should announce he’s bringing a team of civil engineers to do a survey for the ‘wall’ ....
BTTT
The Establishment is going to flip out.
You can bet after his visit he will have words that will clearly reflect what Americans are thinking and other candidates are afraid to say, and those candidates will demand an apology from Trump for being so insensitive towards those who invade our country and steal our freedom.
It is a question if other candidates are afraid to say what needs to be said or do they believe illegals are a benefit to the country, some have claimed in the past they think illegals should have a path to citizenship, despite backtracking, their real position is apparent when they attack Trump.
Scott Walker went there and it seemed to enlighten him.
:: Trump is expected to meet with Border Patrol agents of the Laredo Sector. ::
I assume this is the “Laredo Sector” of the BP. Some mapping or description of the locale might be good?
Maybe I can go “shout down that racist gringo Trump”
:-)
if I have enough lead time?
(tongue-in-cheek) Comprende, amiga?
I heard him say something about an award on Fox and Friends this morning, too. I’m looking forward to his report - I suspect he’ll tell it like it is. When I heard him mention going to the border this morning (IIRC he said he was invited), I first thought that Sherriff Babeau or Joe may have invited him, but it turns out it was the Border Patrol and read here the Laredo sector.
If he’s going to Texas, that’s a fairly big deal IMHO. Perry has been touting the people he put on the border because the Federal gov’t wouldn’t act and that it had a big effect. Trump said in a speech the other day that Perry didn’t do anything but the new governor (Abbott) is doing a lot and he likes him. This could get good :-)
Enlightened him right into seeking out USCOC money to fund his campaign. And they are Pro Illegal.
hoosiermama is right, he said this morning he is supposed to be honored by the Border Patrol for bringing attention to their situation down there. He was on Fox this morning and had some pretty good comments, but that was his announcement about this trip. He said he would be flying down soon, maybe today but didn’t give a specific schedule.
He also surprised me and didn’t attack Rubio for saying we need someone in the oval office with class, implying that Trump has none. He simply said Rubio and Fiorina were both good people. To her credit, Fiorina didn’t jump on the bash Trump bandwagon, her comments were mostly positive and sounded like she agrees with his assessment of the Republican party and politicians in general but in language that was less harsh and controversial. But it was clear she feels the same as Trump, we have politicians in DC who say a lot and do nothing. And said as much.
And that brings me to the one thing that bothers me about Trump, I’m thinking he should not stoop to the bickering and name calling others are doing, effectively bringing himself down to their level. Hit back, but do it with tact. As far as I’m concerned, that’s his one fault, he needs to be more tactful.
Oh...well he talks a good talk.
“He should announce hes bringing a team of civil engineers to do a survey for the wall ....”
What would be cool is if he bought a swath of each landowners property that is on the border and started building the wall himself. He could crowdfund it.
He probably wouldn’t have to buy the privately held land at all,
just ask permission of the current owners to build the wall on their land.
I don’t see that many would withhold that permission.
