Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum is clarifying — but not stepping back from — surprising comments this weekend in support of former Olympian Bruce Jenner's decision to come out as a transgender woman.
"If he says he's a woman, then he's a woman," Santorum told BuzzFeed during a roundtable discussion in South Carolina on Saturday.
Santorum continued: "My responsibility as a human being is to love and accept everybody. Not to criticize people for who they are."

What would Spiro T. Agnew say? He called Senator Goodell (1926-1987), the father of the NFL commissioner for those New Yorkers who have forgotten him, the “Christine Jorgenson of the Republican Party.” Some didn’t understand, but Agnew meant Goddell, Rockefeller’s appointee to succed RFK, was so far left he might as well have been a Democrat. Agnew endorsed a Goodell rival, James Buckley, who won the general election of 1970. Senator Goodell never tried to become a woman. Jorgenson was a man who underwent experimental sex-change surgery c. 1952.
So if you say you are a credible candidate for president of the United States, does that mean you are one?
Gays often say that God made them the way they are, and he doesn’t make mistakes. So how will the LBGT crowd play this angle? Does God make mistakes or not?

He was in the ‘70’s when he was winning track & field events. Now, not so much.
With biologically rare exceptions, humans are either XY or XX chromosomed. If it is ever medically established that Bruce Jenner is one of these genetic exceptions, then the discussion is over.
Otherwise, Rick Santorum has seriously jumped the shark.

What Jenner is, is a mentally unstable person who is not getting the help he needs because we as a Country are now accepting all sorts of mentally ill behavior as okay. Its Not............

Transgender does not pass the logic test.
A person telling himself that he is a “woman trapped in a man’s body” has no basis for that belief. His experience is as a man, and he really cannot know what it would be like to be a woman. Because he is not a woman. He can only guess, fantasize, etc. but he cannot logically know.
An analogy. Some women believe that they do not want to have children. They cannot know that they do not want children because they have never been a mother. Once you are a mother, your understanding of motherhood is completely different than it was before. . . . Some women possibly should not become mothers, but it is a shame that many women pass this remarkable part of a woman’s life because they think they do not want it and they really cannot know that . . .
Obama did just that ......
