A lie.
The truth: his boss told him not to go.
Barber, massage or polo?
I’m sure everyone of those heads of state had commitments which they delayed for the march. That’s what you do. This isn’t Mayberry where you’re trying to tell Opie that if you say something, you MUST perform....no matter what.
seems like theres a typo in the title..
the word he said was “quisling”
Please Lord above, relieve us of this useless dork
A March against terrorism is useless.
He must be serious, he’s broken out a pretend sophisticated term like “quibbling”.
I’m no big fan of the administration but I don’t see the big deal with not showing up to another ‘feel good’ march or demonstration. People get criticized if they don’t wear bracelets or wear pink or wear an I Can’t Breathe tshirt or do some sort of hashtag gimmick or join arm in arm against islamofascism. What i’d like to see is money and effort that goes into these “shows of support” be directed to where it can do the most good, research and development. Arm in arm against terrorism? How about using a cookie cutter where needed?
Commitments? Quibbling? How about support and solidarity for the surviving families of the THOUSANDS of Americans slaughtered at the hands of Islamic terrorists? How about support for the THOUSANDS of AMERICAN troops who have given life and limb fighting against terrorism? I can’t think of anything that was more symbolic and important than being in Paris at the front of that march. It is despicable.
I’m sorry but, I don’t want ANY representative of the US attending a “rally”, anywhere! Jon Cary was right in his refusal to attend. [Egads, have I just agreed with the Obamugabe State Department? I must, now, expectorate!]
As another FReeper posted, “it doesn’t matter how many [passivists*] are lighting candles in the streets of Paris”, the Islamist’s are laughing at all of them for their sentimentalism.
[Islam looks at a ‘Free Press’ as “sentimentalism”; a left over from the age of the Reformation and incompatible with the Sharia “modern age”...whiich began in circa 700 AD. Yeah figger that out yer-own-selves.]
They recognize that ‘the sentimentalist’ is weak and will be (should be?) the first to die. Let’s ask the gendarme who assumed the “Hands up, Don’t Shoot!” position on the sidewalk in Paris.
Oh, wait...I guess you can’t ask him anything now...
Let’s ask the Charlie Hebdo editors that expected their pen to substitute for Kevlar vests. Hmmmmm, should I mark that down as “no comment” Mr. Cadaver?
* the FReeper posted the term “pussies”.
These “no clue” MFs have an excuse for EVERYTHING.
He was getting one of those hunting licenses.

Quibbling? John F...ing Kerry knows about quibbling:
“On the floor of the Senate on March 27, 1986, Sen. John Kerry issued this statement: I remember Christmas of 1968 sitting on a gunboat in Cambodia. I remember what it was like to be shot at by Vietnamese and Khmer Rouge and Cambodians, and have the President of the United States telling the American people that I was not there; the troops were not in Cambodia. I have that memory which is seared seared in me. “
Quibble? Thank god, Kerry did not use the synonym “NIGGLE”, there would have been hell to pay.
pfft... tish tosh... all about nothing.
I will be in Paris shortly and they can all rejoice says Kerry.
The wimpfest of a march was pointless.
If they wanted to make a point, they would have marched into the “No Go” zones.
And they called it a “Unity Rally” but they didn’t invite Marine Le Pen and the Front National.
Still up the No Lo River: “Which way to Saigon?”
I would have said no brainer but that is apparently what we do have.
"In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans, for example, have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging. They have been reminded that the history of immigration in this country has a dark underbelly; they need specific assurances that their citizenship really means something, that America has learned the right lessons from the Japanese internments during World War II, and that I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction."
Barry is no Charlie.
Josh Earnest just admitted they made a mistake: Says they SHOULD have sent a higher-profile presence to Paris.
