Take a good hard look at the photo. Looking away from it will not change the fact that it happened. This girls family had different religious views from the Syrian Rebel Army. When the Free Syrian Army marched into her town, they chained her to a fence and forced her to watch as her parents were tortured and killed for their religion. These are the same Free Syrian Army soldiers that Obama just violated international law to provide weapons to.
I will not gross people out with the graphic video or the violence that happens over there daily under the guise of a peaceful army taking on the evil leader of Syria. The look on this childs face says enough. Think about what she has to endure. This event would scar you for life as an adult, I can only imagine the hardship that this little girl will have to endure. An orphan of an insane Islamic Radical Army that through Pictures have made no qualms about where there next target is.
While President Obama shouts Its for the Children, we have to ask ourselves is it really? This is a child. This is now an Orphan. Her parents were not butchered in front of her by Assad but by the very group he broke international law to fund. She didnt ask for Al Queda to free her. Her parents didnt ask to be butchered by Al Queda. Assad hasnt talked about butchering every last Christian, Jew, Hindu, or Buddhist left in the country. No that would be the Free Syrian Army of Al Queda and death row inmates from Iraq and Iran shipped to the country to fight Assad, that WE are funding.
Ladies and Gentlemen, let us not forget what they desire. Posted directly on the Free Syrian Armys Facebook Page was only a picture with a caption that tells us everything we need to know as Americans. Take a hard look at the picture above and below. This is who we are funding.
They are:
Obama's Alternate Army.
Armed and financed by American taxpayers.
These savages are the scum of the earth and the turkey in the WH supports them, he deserves to be impeached.
“No. OBAMA’S allies in Syria. Big difference.”
I stand corrected. ;-)
Maybe I’m naive, but I don’t recall hearing of such attrocities by Assad before the civil war. The Christians in Maaloula lived in peace.
If we’re not going to stay out of it, I say we blow the FSA to hell.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if like the little girl fleeing napalm years ago, she could be identified. Next bring her to the United States and have the happy ending that the other girl had?
Too much to hope for though.
Sorry, but this looks & sounds more like hysterical propaganda. Not that alqaeda & Taliban don’t do this type of stuff. But lumping alqaeda with FSA as one group is nonsense, especially since the FSA has been fighting against alqeda.
Besides fighting against Assad’s troops, the biggest problem for the FSA now is fighting against other rebel groups and having members of FSA switching sides & joining alqaeda linked groups, because the FSA is struggling to acquire arms & ammo, and people are predicting their demise.
socalgop: “I would take a critical eye to anything coming out from any of the combatants.”
Exactly! There are no good sides in this conflict, and there are no vital American national interests at stake. As much as the photo tears at my heart, we cannot fix this. Well, we could conceivably fix it, but it would take far, far more than lobbing a few cruise missiles.
Unless we’re willing to fight wars like we did in WWII, i.e. substantial numbers of boots on the ground, total annihilation of all opposing forces—overwhelming force—and a post combat military occupation similar to MacArthur and the Japanese (none of this crap about letting the Muslims recreate an Islamic state a la Iraq), we’ll continue to lose. None of this is even remotely possible given our current leadership in D.C., and that’s assuming Syria threatened US survival, which it doesn’t.
There are bad things happening to good people all over the globe, and America is not the world’s police. Even if we wanted to stick our noses in everyone’s conflicts, we can’t afford to. George Washington was right when he said we should avoid entangling alliances.
Free Syrian Army. Obama’s people.
And no matter what he finds out about them he cannot back away for that would be admitting a mistake and he truly believes like a king of old that he is infallible.
I think I’ll take the Assad side which is protecting the Coptic Christians. It really irritates me that our tax dollars just sent weapons to the rebels. Disgusting.
FUBO
I call BS. The problem with the FSA is that they are no different that al Qaeda. It’s like the difference between a Shia terrorist and a Sunni terrorist - they’re all terrorists. If you buy the laughable propaganda that the FSA is “moderate and secular”, you need to move over to DU.
No, all we have is a single unattributed photo without context or video. This could have happened somewhere else years ago, been staged, been conducted by the other side, or it could have just been a very sad incident of child abuse by the parents who are alive.
Whatever’s going on, there are atrocities being committed by every side. Whether and how we want to intervene requires careful consideration of the national interest, but I don’t see how random, unverifiable images contribute to that analysis.
Since Lindsey Graham just flipped and will favor defunding ObamaCare, can he flip on his current support of the so-called “vetted rebels” and stop arming our enemies? How about McCain?
Amen.
That photo shatters my heart.
Amen to that.
Yeah because these scumbags would never stoop to something like this. These are the same cavemen who cannibalize their enemies.
I’d say the same group that is eating the heart’s and liver out of the chests of the Syrian Army is pretty capable of doing a pretty common Al Qaeda tactic.
It was posted on the Syrian rebel’s facebook page...why is it there seems to be 3 or 4 of you on FR who have a hard time digesting the fact that this is a common practice of Al Qaeda? Again...these are savage animals who cannibalize their enemies.

Demented cult like cavemen.
Dear Senator Durbin:
Not that long ago, you equated Gitmo to the gulags of the old Soviet Union, facilities of the Nazis, and the torturing of Pol Pot. You ultimately apologized for that and we all moved on.

What I am very concerned about currently is the support of the so-called "vetted rebels" in Syria and the "Free Syrian Army". These groups, fighting against Assad, are largely made up of religious-based jihadist and a significant number of al-Qaeda operatives. Support of these groups would be similar to saying that 5 of the 19 September 11 hijackers were "nice guys".
It is still unclear if the Sarin gas attacks were a "false flag" trigger to pull in America's involvement, if it was staged by rebels, done by rogue agents of Assad, or specifically ordered by Assad. My attitude is, to lift a phrase from Hillary Clinton, "What difference, at this point, does it make?". Now our President has abdicated our leadership role to Russia - a big mistake which is not helpful.
Now we see several stories of atrocities perpetrated by the "vetted rebels" - beheadings of an entire bus load of innocent people, execution of Syrian army personnel in cold blood, and now the story of a child being chained to a fence while the "vetted rebels" - our "friends" - torture and kill the child's parents.

When you were quick to criticize our armed forces regarding Gitmo, which you found false and then apologized about, will you take to the floor of the Senate and criticize and condemn some REAL criminals, torturers, and murderers and work to cease all funding, equipping, and arming these thugs we now euphemistically call "vetted rebels".....PLEASE?
Respectfully,
That, Sen McCain are your ‘Syrian freedom fighters’.
