The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense...Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis....
The statement, released to Fox News, follows a Breitbart News report on Obama administration Pentagon appointees meeting with anti-Christian extremist Mikey Weinstein to develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.
(From our earlier report: Weinstein is the head of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and says Christians--including chaplains--sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ in the military are guilty of treason, and of committing an act of spiritual rape as serious a crime as sexual assault. He also asserted that Christians sharing their faith in the military are enemies of the Constitution.)
Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law. Punishment for a court martial can include imprisonment and being dishonorably discharged from the military.

The sad part is I bet the jews in this country who largely vote Democrat are probably too deluded to see that they will be next.
I spent 22 years starting in the Marine Corps and then retiring from the AF. I experienced a couple of cases of proselytization where the individuals did not have enough sense to not press it in the work place or did not know enough to back off when asked. Most of what I saw was well within bounds and offended nobody.
This crap is the result of civilian DoD idiots as well as the overwhelming majority of general officers who are political appointees as well. There are very few real leaders in the higher ranks and way too many who are incompetent at everything other than political ass-kissing. Make no mistake, most of the career line troops, their officers and NCOs know this and know that unconstitutional and illegal orders from these pampered morons should be challenged. Expect suits and challenges to this to be forthcoming.
People have a fit here that I bitch about the GOP all the time.
Well as you said. WHAT ARE THEY DOING? Across the board it is one cave after another and no verifiable effort to reign in Obama’s overreaches.
It should be obvious to all by now we are in a one party dictatorship.
Well, as long as it’s those right wing Christians getting theirs...
This is very similar to NAZI Germany when Jews were slowly forced out of various occupations. The goal is clear, force Christians out.
You know the 100s of ways this will be enforced, including no posting of notices on bulletin boards of Bible study groups, no religious activities permitted anywhere on base or aboard ships outside of designated areas (e.g., forbidden in barracks, base housing, berthing compartments), no announcements of inspirational speakers or musical groups coming to town, shutting down of base chapels, no use of the Internet or social media by service members, DoD civilians, or contractors to promote their faith, etc.
Makes me want to go and take an Obama.
Sounds like Obama and this Weinstein are nuts from the same tree.
....And stuff like this and many other things are planting the seeds of a future revolt down the road.
But he knows what corpsemen are.
Allahu Akbar means you needs some time off for job stress. (According Obama and the Ft. Hood shooter)
It doesn't really matter. See my tagline.
How long until taxpayers will pay for Muslims to go to Mecca for the Hajj?
There’s a difference between “quit being annoying” vs criminalizing basic polite proselytizing. I agree there’s a lot of hype here...but seems there’s also a very serious problem/infringement being enacted. A lot of people will over- and mis-react to this; doesn’t mean there isn’t a Constitutional crisis brewing.
Weinstein was on a local talk show a couple years ago, he’s an absolute nut.
