President Obamas spokesman blamed Congress for the lack of stronger gun control legislation and promised that the Justice Department would improve background checks to enhance security.
The presidents approach is that we should work with Congress when possible and administratively when allowed, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney told reporters when asked about strengthening gun control laws laws that must respect Second Amendment rights, he said.

Good point.
Pappy, how long ago was that when you bought the rifle?
The Bamsters grades in college were pretty bad it is reported. This reflects in his lack of history edumucation. Gun control didn’t work to well for Bill Clinton, it will not work to well for The Bamster.
How do you spell landslide Obama? ;+)
Mittens is the strongest proponent of gun control of ALL the GOP candidates that were seeking the nomination. Yes, Mass is pro gun control, and you CAN’T take the Mass out of romney, it is part of who he is.
As long as the House and Senate go for GOP/conservatives, they can at least put Romney’s feet to the fire.
It makes it harder for everyone to obtain them. In other words, it infringes on the people's right to keep and bear arms, exactly what the Second Amendment says shall not happen.
Seriously?
Why do you even bother comparing moderate Romney with far left radical Obama? There is absolutely no comparison, conservatives will be able to hold Romney accountable, Obama just spits in our faces and calls us fools and certainly you won’t forget who said this ....
“THIS IS MY LAST ELECTION. AFTER MY ELECTION I HAVE MORE FLEXIBILITY”
You are a fool if you believe anything other than this is the last election that matters at all to real Conservatives because it is. There probabaly won’t be an America left if Obama is re-elected and even if there is it will take generations to undo the damage that he will inflict in a second term...
You’re assuming that the weeper, his pet weasel eric, and the rest of the gop castratti caucus have any. To date there doesn’t seem to be much evidence that they do.
The house doesn't even put 0bamas feet to the fire, what makes you think that they will put a fellow GOPers feet to the fire?
Well at least there is a much, much better chance, and if the Senate comes into GOP/conservative hands and with Obama having been thrown out.
Tsk, tsk. You’re hitting on the fundamentally illogical premise of the Any Socialist But Obama crowd. Specifically, how is a smiling socialist who will be unrestrained by Congress be any better than a snarling radical socialist who is mildly constrained by Congress?
I WANT MORE GUN CONTROL, STOP THIS ADMIN GIVING GUNS TO THE DRUG CARTELS .
We only have to look at who has not been invited to speak at the convention and who is speaking first to see how the eltiist snotty nosed GOP wants to take us.
GOP cowards and been stuck on stupid for decades and it doesn’t help when the likes of Hannity and others on talk radio never talk about conservative social issues, guns queers, don’t ask, abortion.
The elitist cowardly
GOP thinks all of us care just about our pockets just like these idiots.
The problem is that the Senate backs the Obama administration on everything, and the MSM backs them both. There are really at least four centers of power in the U.S.: The Executive, the Senate, the House, and the MSM. Control two and you have essential deadlock. Control three and you get movement. Control all four, as the Democrats did from 2008 to 2010, and you get revolutionary change. The House, by itself, is fighting a good battle, and the new media is eroding the enormous power of the MSM, but we need at least the House, the Senate, the Presidency, and the new media to roll back Obamacare.
When the New Media shows that they can protect them from the MSM enough so that they do not get unelected the next election. It is happening. It is why Cruz won the primary battle in Texas.
I was there. The Legislature was 80% RAT and was about to pass a much more restrictive ban over his veto so he extended the harmless flash hider/bayonet lug ban and let them think it was a huge bipartisan victory for safety.
And once rejected...
More gun control “under the radar” like Fast and Furious?
