Today the court is handing down decisions, possibly in the Arizona Immigration Law case.
Make your Prediction on:
1. Az Immigration law
2a. Heathcare Mandate
2b. Heathcare Servability
3. Stolen Valor Act
It is pretty clear that Obama is going to run against the SCOTUS in the upcoming election. I think that is why he claimed Executive Privilege on F&F — just to pick another fight with the Justices.
Of course, his tongue lashing of the SCOTUS will not serve him well, but he will blame the court for holding back Hope and Change.
Did you read his tagline? “Nabob of Negativity”
I’ll join in your cynicism. They wouldn’t be my hope or predictions but as things are? I can see it happening that way.
Stolen Valor Today. Immigration next Monday. Health Care next Thursday.
Given the screwwy nature of our political world, I’ll predict the most convoluted, illogical outcome possible:
5-4 to strike down Az Immigration
5-4 to strike down Individual Mandate
5-4 to uphold the rest of Obamacare
Respectfully disagree. Sotomayor, Kaga, and Ginsberg ALL will never give up liberalism and bias against freedom.
My guess is that Kennedy is the deciding factor in a 5-4 decision on everything.
I predict that no matter what the Supreme Court decides Obama will continue to act as if he alone is the only legitimate branch of government.
1. Az Immigration law - Upheld
2a. Heathcare Mandate - Overturned
2b. Heathcare Severability - It is NOT severable, as they took specific action to omit this provision. It would not have passed without taking this step.
3. Stolen Valor Act - upheld
I think Monday is the last day.
Not to worry.
Obama will be so focused on salvaging Obamacare, it will remain a threat and a battle line through the election.
And the Republicans will continue to be spineless cowards who won’t do anything. I’m sure the Mittster will have plenty of ambiguous statements ready to go.
Sigh.
I don’t think there’s any way we’ll see Obamacare completely overturned. I say the mandate gets struck down 5-4 with Kennedy as the deciding vote.
There is no Art 1 Sec 8 power to control our healthcare system.
I think they will make us wait until next week to get the healthcare decision. I am hoping arizona wins today at the very least.

That’d be hard to do without funding or cooperation of the states or insurance companies.
Predictions:
Az law: 7-1 upheld
Mandate: 5-4 overturned
Severability: Not sever able 6-3
Wow, it's almost frightening to think about.
I mean, the reaction of people who know what this means would be akin to "duck and cover". People would be scrambling to salvage what they could of their business assets and other financial investments.
It could crash an already abysmal economy.
The EU would know that there's no bailout, because any money would have just come off the presses and have no real, stable value.
We'd be a pauper nation with a poor ruling from SCOTUS, and I think it'd have that hard an impact in a matter of days if not hours.
The Weather Channel can’t tell the lies fast enough.
Holder’s woes this morning are a result of a Republican fishing expedition, according to TWC’s best meteorologists.
I agree........

Ditto.
I’ll share this with you all: I was in Washington over spring break and while waiting for the Metro, talked with a lady briefly. I told her that HC concerns me because I have an excellent situation with my doctor. She has my full confidence and there is a medication that I MUST take. I told this lady I cannot have my medical situation disturbed by a bad law. The lady looked at me with sincerity and said “ Well, I think you can stay on your current plan if you want to b/c not everybody is affected by the law”. I was stunned that someone in Washington would be that ignorant of the far-reaching aspects of this law.

We’re supposed to call it a “fragile recovery” thanks to the Hussein Heads.
