Update: Breaking from Hawaii: No More Long-Form Birth Certificates!
The Post & Email ^ | 04/12/2011 | Sharon Rondeau

Posted on 04/12/2011 12:59:48 PM PDT by Smokeyblue

Miki Booth has just reported via telephone to The Post & Email that a man born and currently residing in Hawaii went to the Department of Health this morning and requested a copy of his long-form birth certificate. He was refused, told that it was no longer available and that all he could obtain is the short-form document.

The man had obtained his short-form “Certificate of Live Birth” several weeks ago and reported to Miki that the request form had had two different boxes which could be checked: one indicating that the short-form was being requested and the other that the long-form was desired.

Today, the man reported that the form has been changed such that that choice is no longer available.

Therefore, when Dr. Chiyome Fukino spoke with MSNBC on Monday morning, she apparently was not lying when she said that long-form birth certificates are no longer available.

But why was that change made? Who ordered the change in policy? Was it made because Donald Trump has demanded that Obama release his original, detailed birth certificate to support his claim of a Hawaii birth?

The witness who accompanied the gentleman has a daughter who obtained a copy of her long-form birth certificate last month. The document was provided to Miki Booth, who supplied it to The Post & Email here.

thanks for posting..I'm back and read through the thread most has been covered. I will wait to confirm this change through Hawaii officials before I explode..I believe if they are in fact trying to do this they will have bitten off more than they can chew...

Class Action Civil Suits or every individual sue and get a minimum of $1,000 damages per UIPA(those born in Hawaii request long forms-do it now).
RICO action
Complaint for Criminal Violation of Civil Rights under color of law
FRAUD
numerous other problems, including risking having all their Birth certificates uncertified and require complete long forms like Puerto Rico, California Texas and others to get passports.
decertified as to full faith and credit - they now have a secret government.
Request the Office of Personnel Management-OPM not accept any applications for Federal employment without a bonafide long form birth certificate from Hawaii.(for those born there)
Have the US House of Representatives refuse to give any funds to Hawaii. Cut them off.
Boycott tourism to Hawaii.
Place an embargo on Hawaii and prevent any ships carrying Baskin and Robbins Ice Cream to land in the Islands (lol)

While I am not an attorney and have not recently stayed at a holiday Inn Express,(maybe heading to Hawaii for a working vacation- attn Mr Trump I'm available and am an experienced investigator) there are three basic tenants of all public records:
1) if it pertains to you and is not classified or part of an ongoing criminal investigation you can get it and see it (a few other exceptions).
2) If they let you see it you can get a copy of it.
3. if it is public in one part of the govt it is public everywhere.

Hawaii just laid a big brown trout and it will cause more suspicion to come to the public.

IT IS TIME FOR OUR CONGRESS-ISSA or SOMEONE to subpoena ALL OF OBAMA’s RECORDS. TRUST IN ALL PARTS OF OUR GOVERNMENT IS SHATTERED TO HELL. I'd like to hear Mr. Donofrio's take on this !

I needed the long form to get a passport. Do they issue passport with the short form now?

All rules are being upended simply because Obama doesn't want to reveal his long form birth certificate.

I renewed in September, had to order a notarized copy of the original BC, get a new SS card, all kinds of stuff. This was to renew a license I've had for over 50 years. They had to copy everything to document that all legal procedures were carried out, they did everything but use a magnifying glass.

Maybe we need to require a drivers license for anyone running for president.

The most telling thing in the Certificate of Live Birth that in 1961 the race of black people were classified as “Negro” on official documents. NOT “African.”

Mine from Chicago was a pre-Xerox photocopy. It looks like it was filled out with quill pens.

Brilliant move by them.

Now have 3 lawyers arguing as I type over a brew.

Observation, in short form, they have no clue.

An anachronism—from the Greek ανά (ana: up, against, back, re-) and χρόνος (chronos: time)—is an inconsistency in some chronological arrangement, especially a chronological misplacing of persons, events, objects, or customs in regard to each other. The item is often an object, but may be a verbal expression, a technology, a philosophical idea, a musical style, a material, a custom, or anything else so closely associated with a particular period in time that it would be incorrect to place it outside its proper domain. A representation of something as existing or occurring at other than its proper time in history.

And using the term "African" to descibe race in America in 1961 is most definitely an ANACHRONISM.

"All rules are being upended simply because Obama doesn't want to reveal his long form birth certificate"

Bib, big puzzle to me why not ONE MSM person will attack this story.

1. Reporters will lose their credentials.
2. You will be made out to be a jokester.
3. Your not with the rest of the left wing media.
4. Your a traitor.
5. Go back to #1 if you want a job.

To Miki Booth: I wish you would try the following experiment.

1. In another message thread here, you showed the Hawaii long form birth certificate of a friend's child where the father's race was listed as "black."

2. Try this: Ask your black friend to order a Hawaii short form birth certificate of his child.

3. My point is this: I want to compare your friend's short form birth certificate to Obama's Hawaii short form that we see at several websites on the internet.

4. Specifically, Obama's father is listed as "African," and so I want to see what the race of your friend's husband will be listed as. I would think that the short form birth certificate would list him as "black" like he is listed on the long from birth certificate.

5. However, if your friend's husband is listed as "black", then it adds more mystery as to why Obama's father is listed as "African" on Obama's short form birth certificate that he sent for in 2007, the year stamped on the back of Obama's short form birth certificate.

6. Miki Booth, thanks for your help.

What Texas gave me isn’t even a COLB. It’s a “Certification of Vital Record”. Has child’s name, sex, date of birth, county and state of birth (doesn’t name the city, much less the hospital), both parents’s names, file number, date filed, and date issued. That is all. I’ve never seen my kid’s “long form” and have no idea what it looks like or if one even exists.

Nevertheless, the kid got a US passport, recently, with only this one piece of paper as proof of citizenship. It’s hilarious if the state of Texas won’t allow its own certified documents to be used to get drivers’ licenses, but I bet they do. I certainly hope so, anyway.

I’d be willing to bet that the state of Texas will issue you a copy of your child’s LFBC, if you request it and pay the fee.

It’s very interesting that you were able to get your kid a US passport using the document you described. Many others on the forum have said that the State Department required them to produce a copy of their original LFBC to get their passports, and that they would not accept the short form.

I don’t know if we’ve got a case of arbitrary rules enforcement going on here, or what. I do know that the last time I needed a passport, I had to produce my long form to get it. That was twenty years ago, so my experience with obtaining a passport may or may not even be relevant to this conversation.

Quick question.... did you get your kid’s passport through the post office, or the State Department? I hear you can get one from either agency.

I just ordered my (what they call) Birth Certificate from Hawaii, on-line. The total cost of ordering 1 BC was $11.50 using the online form.

I was born in Hawaii in 1968 for anyone’s curiosity.

The online ordering system was very basic. It never gave me the opportunity to say if I wanted the short form or the “Certificate of Live Birth” which I have. (long form)

I ordered it, received a receipt, saying it would be sent out in about 2 weeks.

So I followed up with a phone call to tech support to ask my question about which form I would receive. They told me they couldn’t answer my question, but gave me a couple of numbers to try. These numbers are constantly busy. I will keep trying.

I then sent an email to “vr-info@doh.hawaii.gov“. This was the email given to me over the phone.
I asked in the email which form I would be receiving after ordering my BC online.

I will let everyone know if and when a response is received. Or when I can get through on the phone.

Of course I will let everyone know what certificate Hawaii sends me in the mail.

Hope this will help.

I will also keep calling to see what they say.

I wanted to order it online to see what they would send me.
Just to know if HI is in fact not sending out any more long forms.

When my son was born in the Portsmouth Va Navy hospital in 1999 all we got from the state of Virginia was a computer generated COLB. When I asked the hospital about it, they said that everything is electronic now - there are never any paper copies. All the information is collected electronically and sent electronically to the state.

We had no problems getting him a passport.
