(Reuters) - Republican candidate Marco Rubio has opened a clear lead in a Florida Senate race, becoming the latest "Tea Party" favorite to benefit from voter anger at Washington, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found on Wednesday.
Six weeks ahead of Nov. 2 congressional elections, Rubio leads state Governor Charlie Crist, an independent, by 40 percent to 26 percent among likely voters, the poll found. Democrat Kendrick Meek trails at 21 percent.

Rubio has very little TV in SW Florida yet
Tampa area Rubio is running more than Chuck Farley and Meek.

I was down in West Palm today and there were Allen West signs everywhere along the interstate. Nice to see a sign that wasn’t blue.

Charlie never did anything. The guy basically cruised through his political career.
I’ve heard local interviews with Boyd - he can talk circles and dodge more questions than a squirrel can dodge cars in a school zone.

It sounds like Rubio is in the enviable position of Rick Perry in 2006, divided opposition. Perry has no such luxury this year and could lose to a former state Democrat party chair and former Houston mayor. Maybe the forthcoming Perry ads will move the momentum away from Bill White, who is younger than Perry but looks much older.

This is a load of crap. Rubio is an establishment Republican.
Alex Snitker came from the Tea Party, but the media is desperately trying to keep him under wraps.

Jebs big mistake...Crist is toast in Florida...People do not like a two faced B...... He gave us McCain... another RINO gone GOOD...He sure did give us McCain and so did Rudi Guiliani and Arnold Schwartzenkennedy. I'll never forget the three of them standing there on TV endorsing the Manchurian right before that critical primary day.
At the time I thought all three deserved a total irreversible political demise and I dearly hoped for it. IMO Guiliani has fared the best of the three with Arnold in 2nd place barely holding it together before he's out of office where he has presided over the utter destruction of what used to be a wonderful state. Christ is used dog food.
