Presidential nominee in 2008 faces GOP primary fight.
BY JOSEPH WEBER
Former Rep. J.D. Hayworth, Arizona Republican, said in an interview Monday that his planned primary challenge to Sen. John McCain will portray the four-term incumbent as a not-so-conservative Republican who has "enabled" President Obama and his failed economic and security policies.
"I'm giving Arizona Republicans a clear choice between a consistent, common-sense conservative . . . or someone who describes himself as a maverick but is a moderate," the outspoken Mr. Hayworth told The Washington Times' "America's Morning News" radio show.
Mr. Hayworth, 51, quit his job Friday as a conservative radio host -- a show he has broadcast since losing his congressional seat in 2007 -- and said he is preparing to formally announce his run later this week.
While Mr. McCain has led the opposition to the president's health-care reform, Mr. Hayworth said, the party's 2008 presidential nominee has "enabled" Mr. Obama by supporting the $700 billion Wall Street bailout, first passed under President George W. Bush. And Mr. McCain's opposition to using "enhanced interrogation techniques" on suspected terrorist detainees paved the way for Mr. Obama to order the FBI to expand legal rights and protections to suspected terrorists, Mr. Hayworth said.
"We have to live up to the conduct of the signatories of the Geneva Convention, while our Islamic fascist enemy beheads our soldiers, the ultimate torture," Mr. Hayworth said.

Oh please don’t let this happen. It will prove everything said about Sarah from the left. Anyone with a whiff of conservative in them who has listened to JD Hayworth, either radio show, or as the Republican party premier one minute speeches on the floor of the House go too guy, have to know that in comparison, JD is solid conservative, and McCain is so far left he might as well be a democrat. Sarah would lose the majority of her base if McLame was reelected.
983/09/28 McCain joins 26 other Republicans to vote with the Majority Party Congressional Democrats to demand U.S. Troops exit Lebanon, winds up on the losing side
This one is interesting AuntB. less than one month later the barracks were bombed, with the loss of 241 United States Marines.
Earmarks are another issue entirely especially when you consider who you are screwing by not joining in. Your state, and your people that put you in office.
I hardly think, sinking JD on earmarks and voting McCain after all he has and has NOT done, would be the way to go. After all, it is quite a few years later, and one might think to ask JD what he thinks of earmarks. I’m sure that will be one of the questions.
Clear cut term and correct. It’s about time certain Republicans were taken to task with their inability to check 0bama and the Demon party’s radical nature and call it what it is. These people do not play fair and do not compromise and we cannot keep having a so-called opposition that will not put it in its proper perspective and not give them the policies that are destroying this nation.
I hate associating liberal commies with the word “progressive”. They have no right to use it. Sure, they’re for change all the time, but “progress” implies improvement, not just change, and nothing they support is EVER an improvement. Don’t call them that. Call them National Socialists.
“I hate associating liberal commies with the word progressive.
...like it or hate it, liberals have associated themselves to the word “progressives” for cover. Oprah is a self described “secular progressive” and is a huge BO fan.
I'm not bound by their rules, and hereby officially decline to cooperate with their plan.
Sounds promising.

Good lord...what a list.
In retrospect, it’s probably better that he didn’t win the election - as the Dems now have their TRUE faces on, and many people are waking up to who they really are. Hopefully, it will be enough to facilitate their downfall.
McCain would have given them continued cover. He really WOULD have been the Manchurian Candidate...
Thank you for posting this list. I’ve never seen it so sequentially stated before, and it sheds serious light on how damaging he’s been.
Arlen, McCain, Snowe, Collins, etc., etc...time to retire them all.
All politics is NATIONAL now, folks.
belated thanks for the comprehensive list...
indeed these rinos, and greedy libtards [jm] are as dangerous if not moreso than our own big tent do-gooders...
all of which must go into obscurity and be replaced with public servants to Represent the freewill of the citizens...not seek perpetual wealth thru oppression...

McCain proposes legislation for healthcare of illegal aliens.
McCain’s obsession with illegal aliens is bizarre.
“McCains obsession with illegal aliens is bizarre.”
LaRAza, Lulac, etc. have his butt bought and paid for.
And some worry about J.D. Hayworth’s campaign contributions? Pfft!
McCain has also been on the receiving end of BIG $$$ from private prison firms...who build detention centers and staff them for ILLEGAL ALIENS. It’s BIG money.
