Twelve people have been killed and 31 wounded in a shooting spree at a Texas military base by what officials believe was possibly carried out by an Army officer.
The suspected gunman was identified by ABC News as Major Malik Nadal Hasan.
The shooter was killed and two other suspects, who are also soldiers, have been apprehended, Lt. Gen. Robert W. Cone said.
The gunman used two handguns, Cone said. He wasn't sure if the shooter reloaded the weapons during the attack.
That’s what Congressman John Carter from Texas said.
Something is very wrong -
shooter of Jordanian descent.........
FOX confirming original two suspects released. Third suspect, who was being sought, is now in custody.
Perhaps the military paid for his schooling, and he had to serve a minimum number of years otherwise have to pay it back?
JUst wanted to give another update.
It does appear that one member of the 135th Expeditionary Sustainment Command out of Birmingham, AL has been injured. His name is Maj. Hoyer (did not get first name from my friend) and he was shot twice, but is in stable condition at this time.
Thanks for the updated info.
And they said that it was police who killed him, right?
Doesn't add up AT ALL.
Yes- you heard that...but I’d heard that over an hour ago and then it was reported no one else was picked up.
NOW we hear again- another picked up.
Reports coming and going...be awhile to pin down the facts.
FWIW ;)

My first thought too. Shep might have been punked. Notice how cousin suddenly had to end the call when asked if Malik was from Jordan?
His 72 virgins are former lesbian nun schoolteachers and he is being continuously beaten all over with sharp rulers as they roast.
why did he join? a free education maybe
or perhaps he’d long been thinking of something like this
Then they "chat" about how WWII vets never tell any of their stories to anybody -- but poor widdle Dr. Hasan heard SO many horrible stories about Iraq & Afghanistan that he lost it.
Why does the FCC permit such incipid chatter to be nationally broadcast??
I hope you can clue in those who have no TVs - just a hint or two would be nice.
If by implication you seek to infer I am not outraged by this senseless tragedy, you’re wrong.
Thanks HP
The Lock down has been lifted.
but the line to get off of post is very long.
Everyone is getting checked before they leave post.
thanks for the Prayers for my Family!
Cindy, he indeed could have used his pyschiatric knowledge to mess with many soldiers’ heads. That’s my belief. I hope all of his patients get screened and checked, and if needed help reverse any damage he could have caused. Pronto!
Sounds like the second suspect was actually fighting him and has been released.
Pray for America and Ft Hood
