The world's oldest and most complete skeleton of a potential human ancestor -- named "Ardi," short for Ardipithecus ramidus -- has been unveiled by an international team of 47 researchers.
Their unprecedented, 17-year investigation of Ardi is detailed in a special issue of the journal Science.

No need to modify the title. We all know it's horsecrap.
Luddite.
Could you elaborate, that I might be made aware of any relevance to me?
Mother-in-law?
“If you have faith, you will be accused of being ignorant of science.”
Contemporary Secularists probably believe they’re pretty clever to have this point of view.
However, this was a quote from a book written 330 years ago. So much for “contemporary wisdom”.
That thing doesn’t come from my family tree. It does remind me of someone.
Giving Luddites a bad rep with that one..
Somebody ping G-cube!
I love how they always put puppy dog eyes and a smile on these fraudulent finds.
“Ardi could climb trees, using lengthy fingers and big toes for grasping, but she could also walk on the ground on two feet.”
Sounds kinda like me! At age 10.
How is this fraudulent? Whether or not you think this is a human ancestor doesn’t change the fact that the bones are there and this creature did exist.

"Well 'Ardi, 'ar, 'ar!"
Is that you Michelle Obama?
It’s a Cylon!
“Such provisioning by males would have favored those males who could best walk on two feet, according to the researchers, allowing them free hands for carrying food. Provisioned females could have “intensified their parenting” and carried their infants, which is easier to do in woodland environments when the forelimbs are free.”
But this could just as easily and accurately be said:
Such provisioning by males would have favored those males
who could best run on four legs, according to the
researchers, allowing them to get to food supplies first.
Provisioned females could have “intensified their
feeding” producing stronger infants, which makes it easier to hang on to their mothers since her forelimbs need to be free to walk in a woodland environment.
The first part is from the article, the second I wrote using the first. A “just so” narrative is just that and tells us nothing.
