MSNBC is having an on air meltdown over a man their camera crew videotaped openly carrying a handgun at an anti-Obama protest in Portsmouth, New Hampshire this morning near where Barack Obama will be holding a town hall meeting later today.
MSNBC showed footage of the man with the gun openly holstered to his right leg. He was holding a large sign with words about the tree of liberty.
The Portsmouth police chief informed MSNBC the man was legally armed.
The man was reportedly standing with a group of protesters on the property of a church.
More as this develops.
I’ve actually seen it done before. They came up behind the guy, pinned his arms from behind while another guy relieved him of the pistol. The amusement park had asked him to leave due to a weapons policy (insurance). He refused. They just waited a while and lifted the pistol. He got escorted out to the police.
I was surprised how fast it went. Police took him away for trespassing. This was in the 70’s when you could do that to people. The guys who did it were both Vietnam vets so they weren’t antsy about guns.
This is not the time for timidity.
You either develop some guts or shut up and follow the leaders.
Secret Service and local police have no problem with him, why do you?
I presume the gentleman is part of the Libertarian Free State Project in New Hampshire.
Bump.
Read the sign. See the gun. Any patriot gets the meaning.
I say he is either a union plant or some crazed lunatic.
“I’m in NY. They’d prolly arrest me for that. Is that legal??”
No..the baton is a concealed weapon. Better to take the risk than get beat up.
And that is a stupid remark!
It is common and NORMAL for NH residents to carry openly.
It should be normal everywhere, and it is shameful to see comments like yours on a forum like this.
Moderation does nothing.
gotta disagree, read it in context, The Lord was specifically speaking to physical needs/threats...
'we have two'..."IT IS ENOUGH"...
I know the deciples werent talkin about multiple gospels...
just as I know [opine] that Lord Jesus meant for them to provide for their own physical defense, as two swords isnt the requirement for offensive ops...
I’d love to have some of that pepper spray with the orange or red foam dye in it so whatever miscreant I spray with it is orange or red in the face.
Doesn't always work that way. Union agitators are there to agitate, not walk around calmly. In this case, they probably didn't expect it. You can bet they will adjust their strategy in the future.
Like many people, I used to be a union member and got involved in all the strike organizing and tactics in my young days. Then as I moved up and saw how corrupt unions were, I joined the other side and became a labor management specialist- a union buster, before I started my own business.
Those young people who believe all that union bullcrap are their perfect patsies. They do the dirty work, get arrested, and the union bails them out and pays their lawyer. If they go to jail, get fired, big deal, they are considered "casualties of war".
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING
Not being familiar with guns, I was just asking a fair question if they are secured in the holster to prevent that possibility.
I am assuming that you mean Pennsylvania? According to PA state law, any person over the age of 21 (and not mental, etc.) may carry a firearm openly in any jurisdiction other than a city of the first class (Philadelphia happens to be the only one) WITHOUT a PA LTCF. LTCF holders may carry concealed OR open ANYWHERE in the state.
In free states, such as New Hampshire, you certainly can. And you don't need a license to carry openly.
Some bike shops sell it as “dog spray,” to spray on dogs that chase & bite cyclists. At least they used to.
>> Legally armed. Attention-seeking dumbass.
Really? What else do you know about the guy?
Isn't the too intimidating? Shouldn't you send a more concilatory message? Why risk the harsh publicity? You're just playing into sterotypes! /S
And to engage in "consciousness raising" and desensitize people to the stimga of carrying a gun.
Cheers!
I choose to put full trust in this citizen that he would not act...”stupidly.”
