A couple we dismissed for lack of standing....”wrong plaintiffs”...but not all.
Speaking of boats, apparently one of Stanley's Seattle friends mentioned that she had received a post card from Stanley on a boat in the summer of 1981. SHE LATER REATRACTED HER STATEMENT.
I believe that she is one of a handful of Stanley's acquaintances who later retracted something that they said about BHO. Sounds fishy to me.
What year was that? 1981?
oops, 1961!
A boat to Kenya ???
With Obama Sr during the summer vacation between semesters....
To be there in the first week of August 1961...
Oh, my...
Slaves were subjects too, until Britain outlawed slavery. Before that date, slaves were subjects but not citizens.
The real problem isn't one of laws, it is on of morals. You can make all the laws you wish, amoral men will still choose to circumvent them.
Off topic.
I still have my Dad’s Royal - dates from the early 1900’s.
When I took my first typing test on an IBM Selectric, having learned on his Royal, I typed over 100 wpm as I didn’t have to PUSH the keys and had speed instead of key-force!!!
Ok - back to the topic of Kenya, which I’ve learned more about than I ever wanted to know, and frankly, forget anyone from Chicago, I’m thinking most Kenyans don’t know the history as presented on this thread.
It’s one of the things I love about Free Republic - I learn so much.
Please refer to him as SIR EDWARD F. LAVENDER.

So much going on.. not sure if this was already caught:

on August 3, 2009 at 7:31 pm | Reply lev8mysoul I asked a british history buff I know if he could find out who the colonial registrar was for Mombasa in 1961. He called me up a few minutes ago and said Sir Edward F. Lavender Source(s): Kenya Dominion Record 4667 Australian library
Interestingly also a Yahoo question by the same person(?)

Excellent post (6977). Just wanted to remind folks that the Kenya Grandmother also testified that she was at BHO birth in Kenya!
And, unless SIR EDWARD F. LAVENDER (I need to learn how to increase the font, bold it and make it flash red)
has a relative on his father’s side who has the exact same job in Australia, then the Kenyan COLB is more authentic that the Aussie one.
I love the sleuthing skills of FR!
IF an honest judge ever allows a case to go into discovery, Eric Holder’s Justice Department will instantly seal it and take it over as a federal matter of national security. Not a single case is going to be allowed to come through discovery and reveal the truth to the American people. There are too many lies and fabrications in Barry’s past to allow truth to come out on him from a lowly court case.
The problem is that Orly's motion doesn't say where she got this copy. So the chain of custody is already broken.
The document presented to the Court is also completely unauthenticated, and thus violates Rule 901(a) of the Federal Rules of Evidence. You cannot just go into federal court and say "this is a piece of paper and I want to conduct discovery to find out if it's genuine." There first has to be a showing of where the alleged copy came from sufficient to give the court a reasonable basis to conclude that it might be genuine.
My prediction (based on 31 years' experience practicing law in federal court) is that the court will reject it out of hand based on Orly's failure to present any evidence of where or how she got it.
The post number should be 6799...
You can't possibly be that dense and still function.
I nominate you for the Presidential Medal of Freedom to be awarded during the Palin administration.
That person won’t be safe until there is other evidence in hand authenticating the document such as the matching entry from the birth registry. Also, if I were in that person’s shoes, I would wait to see what the judge does with the case.
I drove to Vancouver BC back in the early ‘80s. The border check consisted of a Mountie asking my nationality on the way into Canada and a BP agent asking the same question on the way back into the USofA. Neither asked for ID. I guess I have an honest face?

Yes. That is precisely why she asked the court to request a certified copy from Kenya/England.
That certified copy would have an unbroken evidentiary chain.
