Amen to that, but I was just answering Neighbor's question. Whatever the birth registry forms said in February of 1964, I presume that post-1964 forms say "Republic of Kenya." If the document is a forgery, something as simple as the availability of such a post-1964 form to the forger might explain its use. That all applies ONLY IF the posted document is a forgery, which it might not be.

Not really. The hippies didn't come forth until a few years later. I lived in Berkeley in 1964. The "summer of love" and the advent of the "hippie" movement was 1967. THings got really bad in Berkeley in 1968 which is when I picked up my family a moved (and registered Republican).

1964 was the beginning of the "free speech movement". Berkeley was still pretty conventional in 1964 which is why Mario Savio's protest against the Regents and Gov. Ronald Reagan was such a shock to the community. Of course Dunham came from a radicalized background at Mercer Island HS, and her parents had Commie connections -- so, perhaps she was avante garde.

The way it worked in London in 1982 and 1984 when my daughters were born there is probably the same as Kenya was when Obama was born there. Within a short period after the birth the father is obliged to go to the local registrar and record the birth in the BOOK registering births. Then the registrar types up a certificate (like the one copied here) after the birth is recorded in the book and gives the parent a copy of the certificate. That is it. After that, one is obliged to go to the embassy and register the birth with the consular office.

Obama’s Kenyan Birth will officially be recorded in Book 44B. It is a government record book in the Coast Province of Kenya.

I did some cursory searches, no dice yet. Does not prove a negative of course, and the fact we're dealing with a primitive country in a pre-Internet age with likely very little of its data computerized is rather inconvenient for finding facts, and most convenient for hiding them.

I am certain they have records of these things. The easiest thing for us at this point is to find someone (preferably three or four someones) born in Kenya in 1964 to scan/photograph their certificates.

Or, simply wait for Dr. Taitz's verification efforts. As much as I admire her, though, independent verification in addition to hers would be preferable by way of reinforcing her argument.

The record keepers of Mombasa would be keeping records for KENYA, not Zanzibar.

In Orwell's world of 1984, the government controlled the technology and people could only watch and believe or not believe. Today, the people control information through the web, Twitter, etc. The government reacts. Iran and the United States have the same problem as East Germany. In the end, the PEOPLE figure out the government is bullshit and then the government is replaced. Watching the idiots in Congress assures me that the United States governing structure is on its last gasps. The modern, tech savvy, digital world cannot function with a government designed by farmers in the 1700s. The problem is, who gets to design the New World Order? We will see huge social upheaval in the United States very soon as the productive class gives up and looks for alternative opportunities in other parts of the World while the loser class screams for more and more of the "good life" they have no ability to create for themselves.

Its going to be one lousy ride for the next 20+ years...
