Bombshell: Orders revoked for soldier challenging prez
Drudge Report, WorldNetDaily ^ | 7/15/09 | Chelsea Schilling and Joe Kovacs

A U.S. Army Reserve major from Florida scheduled to report for deployment to Afghanistan within days has had his military orders revoked after arguing he should not be required to serve under a president who has not proven his eligibility for office. His attorney, Orly Taitz, confirmed to WND the military has rescinded his impending deployment orders. "We won! We won before we even arrived," she said with excitement. "It means that the military has nothing to show for Obama. It means that the military has directly responded by saying Obama is illegitimate – and they cannot fight it. Therefore, they are revoking the order!" She continued, "They just said, 'Order revoked.' No explanation. No reasons – just revoked."

Oh, he will probably get a few job offers. And he has a excellent case at winning a lawsuit because he was fired for unjust causes. And by the way, you responded to a comment that was not mine.

“What is REALLY troubling is that he has been fired from his civil service job. THAT is probably unlawful.”

It’s my understanding he was not terminated, bur rather relocated within the company, although I have no authority for that.

It may not be as bad as it sounds. Have been involved with several DOD contractors and can offer this. The military personnel the contractor deals with on a regular basis may well hold Major Cook in high esteem (or better).

A contractor that fired the Major would be commiting a substantial PR blunder. Indeed, they ought to place him in a visible non-DOD position until this blows over - assuming his clearance was in fact pulled.

If truth is to have any rightful place in politics, you stand on the side of truth... no reconciliation needed when they lie to get what they want and we stand on the side of truth. Let them scream and cry foul all they want, but reconcile? what reconcile? we don't need no stinkin’ reconcile!!

They apparently can't be bothered to look past their opposition to Obama, and see the larger implications of soldiers filing suit over their deployment orders, and deciding whose orders they will and will not follow.

Every one of us that makes the oath has to decide what constitutes a legal order EVERY time we consider something questionable. The implications of the course you appear to be advocating lead to blind obedience and an "I was just following orders" mentality.

Him being found out would be a start and better than nothing. Some court affirming the constitution does matter, would be better than nothing. Letting the American people see just how corrupt their leaders in both parties are, would be a start. Just letting people know the undeniable truth that the leaders they elected have no loyality to the constitution would be a start for a new political system with new parties who are loyal to the rule of law and to the constitution’s freedom.

They might just put two and two together as they watch Dear Leader and his minions in the Congress do this fascist thing: with taking over private industry, shaking down the treasury, overturning the first amendment with “hate speech” conditions and ending talk radio, turning economic regulation and planning over to the IMF and do in the second amendment through tax and regulation schemes, etc.

Joining Lou in the Independent Nation on Wednesday will be Orly Taitz who represents Major Stefan Frederick Cook discusses the lawsuit brought about by her and Major Cook which questioned President Obama’s legal citizenship in the United States. Ambassador Alan Keyes, Americas Independent Party 2008 Nominee for President discusses his own lawsuit against the legal citizenship of President Obama.

No way! Most of them don’t know what the constitution even means, let alone that it is something they must protect against all enemies foreign and domestic. It takes courage to stand up againt the elite who are breaking the law. Just read the comments on this thread from SOME military types.

They are not worried about the elite essentially overturning the constitution; they are worried about what this will do to the chain of command and future Leftist lawsuits against Presidents. Mind boggling.

Then we have the Gop reps worried about the politics that will ensue if the courts uphold the constitution!!!! Will the GOP come out the winners or the losers?????

Everyone should be worried about the turmoil this is going to cause the Nation as we attempt to move the elite back into the box of obeying the fact that this is a constitutional republic and it is not negotiable to serve their power, agenda and gain.

No he won't. Business owners don't like people who rock the boat. Business owners also have a problem with employees who have a history of suing employers.

How wrong you are:

From article: "Cook's attorney, Orly Taitz, wrote in her blog that Simtech CEO Larry Grice said he would try to find another position within the company for Cook, but nothing is currently available. "

Got moral relativity?

Where'd you get that? Milk carton?

No. Just having a fruitful discussion with thoughtful freepers. Did you want to try?

Interesting.

I just spoke with my bil who is a retired Marine lawyer...he’s sweating bullets. It is a no win for the military. Violate the constitution they are sworn to protect and hack up an innocent officer for a scoundrel...or cause a constitutional crisis.

It’s not so cut and dry for all military folks. Ofcourse, a Marine lawyer - later a Florida prosecutor - would have a differnet take on this than most. He’s a democrat, btw.

"I believe that this guy is confused about the difference between national security and his personal political beliefs. The rationale for being in Afghanistan is the same as it was before Obama became president -- the reason for his orders has nothing to do with who is president now."

So if someone took over the WhiteHouse by force, soldiers should still serve that person whether or not it was legal? Here is the other problem with your argument. Most agree that normal citizens do not have standing to file suit against zero. But many agree that a soldier would have standing. If a soldier is the only one with standing, are you saying we should allow a fraudulent traitor to stay in the White House even though it is illegal just so we can say that the military was doing its job?

Well said on the difference between the Left’s claims about Bush and the Iraq war versus this case. There is no comparison.

As of today, we now have a Constitutional crisis.
No, we don’t.

Uh....yes we do. You just don’t know it yet.

The slippin’ and sliddin’ began when the criminals at the DNC and the GOP decided to run with a man not constitutionally qualifed to be the President; not with Cook’s question in the aftermath of the crime.

Anarchy is the absense of the rule of law. What is this called when the elite ignore the rule of law? Since they have absoulte power at the White House, we would call it toltarian? Some call it fascism and other Marxism...Anarchy is no better or worse.
