The convention will be at the spectacular Gaylord Palms hotel and we've gotten a group rate of just $99/night on guest rooms. Minutegal said there will also be a prize for the Freeper who has the “closest guess” as to what the Convention Prize will be! She has given us the following clues concerning the special Convention prize:
1. Whomever wins the prize, they will love it.
2. It is about the size of a bread box.
3. It is something Obama would hate!
4. Of animal, vegetable and mineral, the prize is animal....and is covered with spots.
Clue number 5 will come this weekend! Stay tuned and join in on the guessing contest! :)

You did it again, Leni!! Got me singing again! And my honey and I are sure be at that Convention Hall on the 25th! :)
We actually have two fun happenings running side-by-side here.
The first is a registration incentive drawing with a donated Mystery Prize. Our own Conventioneer-in-Chief, Jim Robinson, will draw the name of a lucky freeper hotel room registrant out of a cyber-hat next week. The lucky winner of the drawing will be awarded the prize in the afternoon session of the convention. You won't want to miss this!
Details of the drawing are on post # 94.
Concurrently, another prize will be awarded to any registrant who guesses what this grand prize IS prior to next Tuesday. Previous clues describing the prize are listed on post # 162.
And now for tonight's clue # 5:
"You'll wake up on the 'Right" side every morning with your morning joe."
Anyone who's registered at the hotel is eligible, so take a stab at it and you might get lucky!

Freepers, how many of you Central Chapter members remember Gonzo and his slow, smouldering rendition of "Georgia on My Mind" a couple years ago at Le Cafe Grande?
Even the chefs came out of the kitchen to listen! Even the celery sticks curled on the table!

We're leaving on vacation this Sunday, but hope to be at the convention (on the 25th) for the day meetings...
..do I need to give you more information than this?....do I need to officially register if we're not staying the night?
Glad you are going to make it to the meetings on the 25! And no, just letting Chair Roos_Girl know you are coming is enough. She just needs a head count on meeting attendance and another head count on room reservations.

I will be attending the convention with my husband and my father, but since I live here, I don’t need a room. I haven’t checked this entire thread to see if you’ve booked enough rooms or not, but if you haven’t, send me a reply and I will see about getting a room.
I am so bad at this thread thing. I just read a lot of others, and I see that I was way off. You have plenty of people! I hope to see you guys at the convention. Could you relay the time it starts and ends just to be sure I have it? I have trouble navigating these web threads.
