Just heard on the news at the half hour (3:30 central), that the new Survey Alabama poll has McCain at 62% and Osama bin-lyin' Obama 35%. Just what the heck is wrong with the rest of the country!!?!?!??!?

I was an 11C, Indirect Fire Crewman, but when I hit the 4th ID in An Khe, they gave me a ruck and M16 and tossed my butt in the boonies. Four days out there, the Plt Sgt tossed that PRC on my back to hump for him. No firebases, no mortars for me!!!! Leg infantry in the Central Highlands. I went shopping today. Found a SWEET little AR 15 at the gun shop. Probably going back tomorrow and buy that baby. It was sweet.

Montgomery Alabama may be an indication of why this large gap: Montgomery has a very faithful population of Chrsitians, more than 50% of whom are black people, fellow Christians, family folk, proud Americans. It isn’t so surprising when one realizes the percentage of military personnel and their families in the capital of the state. Traffic is crazy in Montgomery, but the people are pure gold!

On TV Saturday, at the Texas-OU game they showed a close up of a lady with a sticker on her shirt and it said McCain-Palin, Go OU!! on it. Neat.

As I was relaying this news to my son in Colorado, the man in front turned around and declared he's a NObama supporter. One person out of 85,000 and he had to be in front of ME! LOL!

Well, it really wasn’t so weird. There’s a spirit of comaraderie at our games. If you’re wearing orange and blue there are no strangers. Also, the area where I was had season ticket holders, so everyone gets to know everyone else. Except me, my ticket was a gift.

The neat thing was that during pre-game, the AUMB played both “God Bless America” and “the Star Spangled Banner” and everyone around knew the words and sang loudly. That was wonderful.

Found a SWEET little AR 15 at the gun shop

How much are AR 15's going for these days? And which gun shop? I'm a benchrest shooter and mostly own bolt action rifles, but I've been thinking about buying an AR 15 "just in case". I usually shop at Simmons in Bessemer when looking for factory rifles.

Tubs should have kept Franklin. That was just stupid to fire the guy in the middle of the first season on the job. I heard a guy call in on Paul Finebaum’s show on Friday. He was a high school coach. They paid the $3,000 for the Franklin DVD of that offense. He said it would take at least two to three years to FULLY put that offense in. He said that AU was running LESS THAN 30% of the total offense.

You must not have been to Montgomery recently. Crime and thugs outa control under a Dem mayor. 10% sales taxes. He’s running for Congress, and so now he’s a “conservative”. HAHA Makes me laugh when they say that $hit!
