I was an 11C, Indirect Fire Crewman, but when I hit the 4th ID in An Khe, they gave me a ruck and M16 and tossed my butt in the boonies. Four days out there, the Plt Sgt tossed that PRC on my back to hump for him. No firebases, no mortars for me!!!! Leg infantry in the Central Highlands. I went shopping today. Found a SWEET little AR 15 at the gun shop. Probably going back tomorrow and buy that baby. It was sweet.

Found a SWEET little AR 15 at the gun shop How much are AR 15's going for these days? And which gun shop? I'm a benchrest shooter and mostly own bolt action rifles, but I've been thinking about buying an AR 15 "just in case". I usually shop at Simmons in Bessemer when looking for factory rifles.
