Okay, folks. Let's keep an eye on this debate and see if Sarah can beat down hairplug.
Oh okay I wasn’t sure LOL!
I thought Palin was nothing short of spectacular!
1. She was smiling throughout as if she was enjoying herself. Biden seemed angry and ashen many times except when he flashed his peroxide teeth fake smile.
2. Hers was a message of optimism and the so-called party of “hope” represented by O’biden was whining about how bad things are.
3. She got in some substantial digs and did so very elegantly and with humor!
was blown away with how well she did!
Afterwards, ABC had its so-called “Republican commentators” (no doubt PLANTED by them) who said they thought Biden won!!! I couldn’t believe my ears!! Truly disgusting. This was an historical debate in which for the first time in history a woman really locked horns with a seasoned old senator and ABC pretended like it was a non-event.
Favorite Biden gaffe: “I’ve been in the Senate 35 years and I’m not going to change.”
LOL!
I’m with you. It ain’t over ‘til it’s over. I’m looking forward to next week’s debate.
Hope your son’s okay ...
One of our old servers melted down under the 32,000 Kbps load, then they all went on overload. Took John a few minutes to clear it up, but he got FR back up to speed, sans the dead server.
Post 1838 caught it.
They are replaying it on CSPAN now.
Well I think it's great that people are seeing it your way. Personally, I thought Michael Graham at National Review Online said it well:
***************
I'll admit itJoe Biden is my kind of debater. Dispassionate and disconnected, he speaks to my inner wonk. He rambles, he extrapolates, he uses obscure references. And tonight he hit harder and with more detail than Gov. Palin. So Joe Biden won the Michael Graham debate card.
Unfortunately for Sen. Biden, Michael Graham is not a typical American. Not even a "typical white person." (I refer to myself in the third person as a sign of solidarity with Scrappy Joe, who repeatedly did so tonight)
For a typical American who had been convinced by the Partisan Press that Sarah Palin is an illiterate redneck who didn't know Afghanistan from Alabama, she won this debate. She debated a geezer from the Washington establishment to a standstill and forced him into several erroneous statements (I would say "false," but Sen. Biden talks so much without knowing what he's talking about, he could be clueless rather than malicious).
Biden did vote for a war resolution. McCain did not vote, as Biden claimed, for the Obama tax hike. And Obama did absolutely nothing about the subprime mess at Fannie Mae except take record amounts of their money.
Sarah Palin wasn't brilliant. She wasn't able to adlib like Sen. Biden could to score additional points. She let quite a bit of Biden nonsense go unchallenged.
But six weeks into the race, she went toe-to-toe with a guy who's run for president twice, and she held her own and even pushed him around a few times.
For the average voter, content was a wash which means this ended up as a personality contest. Which means she wins.
And that means John McCain goes into the next debate on a level playing field. She didn't leave him in a hole.
Which merely quickens the pace at which the presidential race returns to what it was always going to be: Either a referendum on George W. Bush (Obama wins) or Obama (McCain wins).
****************
I saw that :-D
And later Alan Colmes said well, uh, expectations were so low she had to look good. LOL!! That's about as close we'll get to Colmes admitting defeat :)
The Death of McCain/Palin was greatly Misunderestimated by the Establishment press again. This election has just been turned around.
Pray for W, McCuda and Our Troops
If someone lies, you have no idea what they are going to say, therefore, you are unprepared. Sarah had to stick to the truth, and couldn’t shred him up, because what he was saying was goop. I think the average American will say, we saw an argument, and it was a fair fight.
“Luntzs group on Fox had an immediate and very favorable response to her.”
I saw that. And I flipped to CNN (unfortunately) immediately afterwards and saw Soledad O’Brien with a similar crowd. They had exactly the opposite reaction — they all thought Biden won the debate.
I’m more inclined to give Fox the benefit of the doubt, but it shows you just how biased CNN is.
What time will she be in Dallas tomorrow?
Palin quoted Reagan. Biden quoted his Dad at the end.
Big difference right there...
By a girl wearing glasses, a dress, and great looking high heeled pumps
and she made him cry
I want the Republican Party to buy the satellite channel to promote all the Republican candidates!
No, but, he did say that the biggest loser tonight was Hilary Clinton. He said there's a new female politician in town, or something like that. lol
- Talked again about freedom, about the freedom our soldiers are fighting for and the freedom we have at home.
- Asked all the armed service personnel, and families with sons and daughters in the service, present in the Arena to stand and be recognized.
- Low life invaders disrupt the rally. Sarah turns and addresses them. “Yes our armed forces are fighting for your freedom too!”
