Okay, folks. Let's keep an eye on this debate and see if Sarah can beat down hairplug.
3442 posts & still going—wow, FReepers! Y’all are on a roll, and I missed out!! (Mommy work)
Saw a good part of the debate though and Gov. Palin cleaned up the floor with Smilin’ Joe—she did a wonderful job, thank you God for being with her and helping her through this stressful time!
I see an adam's apple.
That's the one thing I think everyone will agree was obvious on his face.
She kicked his ass a few times and he smiled as if he appreciated the privilege.
Just a reminder to everyone that has the ability to send text messages. Fox News is taking a poll via text message as to who won the Vice presidential debate.
Biden is A
Palin is B
Uncecided is C
Now lets all freep with our cell phones and send a text message for Governor Palin as the winner.
Send the letter B in the message and send it to 36288!
So far it is a landslide for Palin! Lets keep it that way!
Um ... both?
excellent eye
Looked at your previous posts, and I agree. Based on my observations, the FR consensus, the Luntz panel, and many others, I think you were too tough on her.
Believe it or not, fifteen minutes before it started I had to go to the ER with my son. It was pretty deserted there tonight and all the staff were watching the debate. I caught some of it, but not enough to tell how it went. What I did see she was great. I heard a couple of postive comments from some of them there. I am eating a snack now before going to bed, I am HUNGRY!
I wish that I had the guts to listen to it. I’m not adding much to the discussion.
That was a great line and had Joe laughing at himself all night. Loved the Joke about picking a bad VP and musta been the delivery. Say it aint so Joe, there you guys go again....wow.
Pray for W, Gov Palin and Our Troops
Where did the Dems dig up “jddqr” from? Nice try, strike three!
Does that go over well in Scranton? LOL
Yeah, that’s right jerk. Anyone who splashes a bit of reality on the situation is portrayed as a DNC supporter. (rolling eyes)
I just simply cannot get enthused about the McCain ticket after his bailout vote.
IIRC, Mondale was in danger of losing the endorsement of NOW, who were far more important politically to the Dems then they are now.
Mondale had recieved their endorsement in the primaries but was essentially told that NOW would not endorse anybody for President if he did not select a woman as his VP candidate.
Ferraro though a decent person, ran into trouble immediately when the press uncovered several dubious business deals by her developer husband.
The debate was interesting only as she was the first woman on a national ticket but Reagan would have had to go on a full-blown Hunter Thompson-like coke jag to have lost to Mondale that year.
"Mr. Reagan will raise taxes, and so will I. He won't tell you. I just did." [Walte Mondale's acceptance speech, 1984 Democratic National Convention]
Actually, I did NOT watch.....I did it the old fashioned way and listened on the radio. I did that w/the Pres one, too....it gives you a whole different perspective. (Plus I knew I’d see some pics here...)
:)
****Yes, I get your point... but it frosts me that Biden got away with spewing his BS... especially about deregulation when anybody studying the issue KNOWS the problem was OVER REGULATION, or, more precisely, HAM-HANDED INTERFERENCE in the market by government socialists on the take.****
I see it more as surgical strikes by government socialists on the take. They have to know exactly what they are doing to always achieve the results they want.
The unwashed are promising a demo.....
Hmmmmm, I'll have to go check the Obama Campaign website and see if they are (again) using their website to organize a protest of their opponents. They organized a demo at the Media, PA McCain/Palin rally on September 22nd.
Palin should tell MSNBC to go pound sand. The RNC should send surrogates only.
