Palin Pick Causes 'Elation' among Evangelical Leaders
cbn ^

Posted on 08/29/2008 9:23:20 AM PDT by flyfree

Wow. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's pick for Vice-President. Folks, this is s close to a game changer as you can get.

Let me give you some instant reaction. I can tell you that The Brody File has been talking to multiple sources in the conservative Evangelical community and the reaction has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. As a matter of fact, I am told that when conservative leaders heard the news this morning at a meeting at the Council for National Policy, one attendee told me that there is "nothing but elation. People are giddy. They are energized and they now believe that in fact this campaign has the ability to win this election."

I read on another thread that Palin endorses the teaching of Creation Science.

I heard that her classmates call her ‘Sarah the Barracuda’ because of the way she handled her opponents.

Maybe someone should make a symbol, like the "Darwin Fish" except a barracuda, with the word "Sarah" or "Palin" in it.

It'd be interesting to see what some of the more vociferous pro-evo types (say those with dual memberships here and at Darwin Central) do over this pick.

Full Disclosure: This is not representative of my views on ID or Creationism in the schools, but more of an analogy to the way some liberal pro-choice Dems might support the "pro-life" Palin, but some will not.

Cheers! Cheers!

I keep searching with a "okay, what's the 'catch'" attitude just because of McCain....but I might be as excited as you are and the only way I know to express is....

Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

All the Republicans seemed weak at the knees with gratitude and amazement.

The Dems didn't seem to notice...

But I did see îber-moonbat Al Franken in person at his booth.

Full Disclosure: I bought my son an "Obama bin Biden '08" T-Shirt, but my wife, fearing for our safety, didn't let him wear it.

Cheers!

Sarah the Barracuda was her nick name in High School that was given to her by her teammates on the basketball team because of the way she went after opponents on the BB court.

I’m a veteran too...

Sarah will make a great Commander-in-Chief when the time comes...

I’d follow her into battle...

There is at least one draft dodger who ran for POTUS who doesnt know one end of a gun from the other...

I would not trust that Momma’s boy...

Women are supposed to KNOW THEIR PLACE and blacks are to keep to the back of the bus while staying within the DUmocrat plantation and with a POS like Biden as the official overseer.

Or didn’t you get the memo?

I have no prob steppin' on toes, it seems....especially when it comes to special needs kids. *chuckle* Palin is the first bright thing I've seen in this campaign.... and some people couldn't be happy... no matter what.

I too am always amazed at the talents on FR.... and the impact these individuals have made in keeping the pols on their toes. BTW, read your page. You go girl! :)

Thank you so much for your patronage, grey_whiskers! Your wife sounds pretty wise - those liberals are insane!!! ;-)
At least the shirt will make a great piece of memorabilia to show his kids someday! :)

I guess now I've got to make some designs featuring McCain & Palin, eh? Not that I'll mind! LOL

Mrs. Palin, along with being quite conservative, is also cute. Conservative and cute, a great combination! Yes, I’m chauvinist and superficial!( She is a sweet thing)

I dug around on the internet for information on Palin and illegal immigration. Not a whole lot is available, but I did find one good link with a promising indication. And where might I have found said link...on FR, of course.

Here's the post (click here) I found it on (thanks TomGuy!). It originates from a Draft Palin for VP blog where a March 10, 2008 transcript of Laura Ingraham's show was posted (Ingraham on Palin: "I like her!"):

….So, back to the Veepstakes. Sarah Palin: I like her. (Producer: “Babe”) Well, she is. She’s a beautiful woman, but she’s also a conservative. Her husband, I think is a shrimper? (pause) He’s a fisherman. I’m not kidding you, and they go out and fish on the weekends. He’s a commercial fisherman. I’m telling you, I think that sells. That sells a lot more than “my friends” and comprehensive immigration reform. And she’s not for comprehensive reform, I can tell you that right now. She’s sick to death of this immigration nonsense in the United States."

If anyone is a Laura365 member, you can go to the March 10th archive at the 1:33:43 mark and hear it yourself.

Hopefully, this is confirmed as time goes on and she goes to bat for us on the issue.

Not for me.

McCain did good today.

We need to keep up the pressure on him, too.
