Palin Pick Causes 'Elation' among Evangelical Leaders
cbn ^

Posted on 08/29/2008 9:23:20 AM PDT by flyfree

Wow. Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is John McCain's pick for Vice-President. Folks, this is s close to a game changer as you can get.

Let me give you some instant reaction. I can tell you that The Brody File has been talking to multiple sources in the conservative Evangelical community and the reaction has been EXTREMELY POSITIVE. As a matter of fact, I am told that when conservative leaders heard the news this morning at a meeting at the Council for National Policy, one attendee told me that there is "nothing but elation. People are giddy. They are energized and they now believe that in fact this campaign has the ability to win this election."

“While I am concerned that the
Democrats can hound Palin on “inexperience”

heck, Biden and Clinton were hounding Obama on his inexperience during the primarys, they will have to eat their words first. IMO

"Know-it- all Biden will act condecending to her during the debate and piss of even more women at how he treats her."

Good point. He won't be able to help himself, no matter how thouroughly coached he is. Another good thing about her is that, unlike all three of the other candidates, she's not a product of the Senate a$$hat factory.

Thanks for that post, Twotone.

Seems to be doing a fine job as both a mother and a governor.

Sounds like she and her husband run their family via teamwork.

I think she’ll be a fine example for American mothers/women to look up to.

The MSM states that Obama got a ONE point bounce from the convention. Can anyone here imagine what the rocket bump for McCain will be and before the convention????

>>>>McCain has kept Obama on the ropes. Even today, he crushes Obama’s speech as the lead story. I don’t know who is running McCain’s campaign but he is a genius.

The Democrats crowing about her inexperience is just kicking Obama while he is down.

Betcha a cold one its the Architect.....
This pick gave me goose bumps I never had....

The link didn’t work, but I wandered around their forum a bit. What a weird world this is. Those people are so seriously pissed off that I think we should probably take their driver’s licenses! What if they saw an Obama bumper sticker? ;)

rant:
For my part, I have voted for the Libertarian nominee since 1988. I was leaning toward voting against Obama before McCain picked Palin. Now my vote is McCain’s to lose. Unbelievable. Obama must be stopped. Of all the Republicans who ran, McCain was my second to last choice, just a notch above Giuliani. If the Dems had nominated anyone else, I probably would write in Ron Paul. Not this time. I can’t believe the Dems are willing to consider a President Obama, but I’m not. He’s far left and way into racial identity politics, and the worst part is, he thinks America is too! That’s why he hung on to Rev Wright way too long. Joe Biden is as interesting as a box of rocks. /rant.

Excellent point, Lainey. I hope that between now and election you'll pipe up whenever necessary when the critics pull this stuff about Sarah not being a good mother re: her special needs child.

Your experience is the voice of authority in these special situations. Don't be afraid of repeating yourself.

It's amazing we always have freepers experienced and eloquent in just about any field one can think of when the rest of us need professional information.

i think McCafferty just blew a gasket . . . he just called Palin, and I quote, “a joke” . . . oh, how i wish i had taped that . . . something tells me he is going to have a big plate of crow come election night

You only caught half of it. After Wolf came this female anchor who had Faye Buchanan on as a guest. This female anchor was so angry & cruel that she called the pick an insult to women. This comment degenerated the segment into a shouting matching between this anchor and Faye that was reminiscent of the Joe Scarborough/ David Schuster moment. This MSM anchor behaved unprofessionaly and was clearly angry and bothered the entire time.

This pick has liberals seething. They are not a happy bunch right about now and seem more concerned for McCain’s choice than they are about their nominee.

I think this is an unfortunate choice. This woman is not qualified to be commander in chief. There goes McCain’s best argument...

As Governor, Palin currently commands the Alaska National Guard (Army and Air.) http://www.ak-prepared.com/dmva/Documents/acrobat_docs/2007_DMVA_Annual_Report.pdf Neither Obama or Biden have that kind of experience.
