A federal judge has ruled the University of California can deny course credit to Christian high school graduates who have been taught with textbooks that reject evolution and declare the Bible infallible, the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
U.S. District Judge James Otero of Los Angeles ruled Friday that the school's review committees did not discriminate against Christians because of religious viewpoints when it denied credit to those taught with certain religious textbooks, but instead made a legitimate claim that the texts failed to teach critical thinking and omitted important science and history topics.
Charles Robinson, the university's vice president for legal affairs, told the Chronicle that the ruling "confirms that UC may apply the same admissions standards to all students and to all high schools without regard to their religious affiliations."

I find it fascinating that the Temple of Darwin seeks to maintain and increase the scope of its dictatorship over science, whereas the remedy Creation and ID scientists seek is simply a level playing field where the force of government is not used to favor one group of scientists over another.

What a bizarre analysis. What we always hear about is creationists trying to use government, mainly local school boards, to influence the game. "Darwinism" has won on the level playing field of evidence and experiment--the same field IDers are welcome to play on, if they dare. If it weren't for creationist attempts to use government to tilt the playing field in their favor, we wouldn't even be having these discussions.

Actually, I think Creation and ID scientists would be perfectly happy just removing the government from the equation all together. A sort of separation of government and science. Would this be ok with most Darwinists???

If you don’t share their religion, then you must be excommunicated/barred from a career in science. And all the better if they can identify you early, before you start your career.
That's it, exactly. Anyone who thinks the debate between Darwinism and creationism/ID is actually about science, per se, is either delusional, or doesn't know what science is. This debate is about philosophical worldviews, plain and simple.
Darwinism isn’t really a belief system. Secular Humanism and atheism are - Darwinism is just the support structure for SH/atheism.
I can't speak for other "Darwinists," but I'd want to know what you think "removing the government from the equation" means in practice.

For there to even be a scientific debate, the anti-evolutionists would have to have a testable hypothesis beyond "someone did something sometime" and positive evidence for it. Unfortunately, they seem to prefer using the force of government and propaganda to give the illusion of a scientific debate.
They don't care about science; its just something that stands between them and the theocracy they want to establish.

Please read back on these posts. You will see that the Darwinists are firm and steadfast defenders of police enforced government K-12 schools, government colleges and universities.
It is a matter of force. They need the government to force their will on other people's children. They want the government to **force** the taxpayer to pay for it.

I am willing to bet the farm that historically the graduates of this particular Christian school have and are doing **outstandingly** well as compared to their government schooled peers.
They are likely learning from more that the earth was created in 6 days.
No,...What I expect is that these students are **thoroughly** learning the Theory of Evolution in their Christian schools....but...When these kids get to UC they ask some hard and **embarrassing** questions of their professors. Likely the professors want to be rid of them.

Are you actually suggesting that a private (Christian ) school student with an adequate ACT/SAT score would not be able to digest and complete basic science requirements at a California University School?
So if Harvard, Brown, Princeton, Penn. and Yale ( and the 49 public university school systems) do not discriminate against the Christian student and grant the student admission, what does that say about California?
