Jim, prayers for your brother, Don, and the surviving family.
I have a link for a grief recovery program/weekend that would be good for Don to attend in about six to twelve months. He will know when it is time for him to start the healing.
But meanwhile he is probably experiencing some of the phases of grief (Elisabeth Kuble-Ross On Death and Dying)
Denial
Bargaining
Anger
Depression
Acceptance
Reaching Out
I have moved through these steps with five deaths in my immediate family. These weekends are very powerful and worth taking a look at. I am sure there are some in Don’s area.
May the Lord walk with all of you.

Almighty God,
we remember before you today your faithful servant Barbara;
and we pray that,
having opened to her the gates of larger life,
you will receive her more and more into your faithful service, that,
with all who have faithfully served you in the past,
she may share in the eternal victory of Jesus Christ,
the Risen Lord,
AMEN.
