Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

Paranoia, huh? Well, then just disregard it. If it really is what I think it is, there’s no way for me to verify it. If it isn’t what I think it is, then you’re right. I think it is a distinct POSSIBILITY that it was copied & pasted, rather than typed, from a campaign email or something like that. But regarless of whether I’m right or wrong, it was posted and shows where some people are coming from. They don’t agree with the core values of this socially conservative forum.

Your falsehoods and obfuscation aside, I'm not misrepresenting anything. I stick to the facts and the truth. Your words speak for themselves. In your own words, you said, in the end, you'd vote for Rudy Giuliani.

My only interest in this thread is that some very abusive people are gone.

I just read ALL of your comments D.C. You are a kindly 'voice of reason' in the midst of chaos. You speak your mind, but always with a 'smile'.

You also have noticed what many have been incapable of 'seeing'.

We need thousands more like YOU here on the forum. I think they are here and hopefully will have no fear of speaking out more now.

I don't understand the loss of Mia T as I always found her to be polite??

A very important hope, one I share.

“I am against abortion, gun control, tax increases, homosexual marriage as much as the next guy but if we don’t win this war on terror and the Muslim fanatic succeed those other things will be the least of our worries.”

There are two enemies. The one you casually dismiss is the leftist agenda which, even if jihadis are all put in their graves, will destroy this country and indeed the whole world, even more completely. The leftist agenda is soul-destroying. It is actually even more dangerous that radical Islamists.

I posted your own comments twice. You said, you’d vote for Rudy. Now you’ll have to live with your own words. We debated this last resort deal awhile back. Last resorts don’t come 18 months before the election. And you don't say you'll vote for a liberal, when that is not the objective of this conservative forum. So, in the end, you’ll back Rudy and vote for him. Your words, not mine. You want it both ways. If I didn’t know better, you’re starting to take on the demeanor of Howlin. Btw, wasn’t she your friend and mentor? Come on tell the truth, you’re a disciple of Howlin’s. Right? LOL

You've gone too far, Reagan Man.

>>>>>And yes, counter-productive is the perfect word for what Reagan Man is doing here.

Wrong. Exposing RudyBoosters like you is very productive. I've gotta run, but the facts are quite clear. I support the goals of Free Republic. I will not vote for Rudy.

In the end, you'll support and vote for Rudy Giuliani and have posted that right here on this forum. That is not productive and undermines the objectives of FR.

I haven't even decided which candidate I want for the primary or general election in 2008, so therefore I have no trail of evidence to speak of, but that hasn't stopped most of the rabble-rousers here from labeling me as a troll, after 9 years no less. Are you seriously that retarded?

All I've done is stand up in defense of some of my Freeper friends who I feel have been treated shoddily here in the last week. And that makes me a liberal?

Now I know what Alice in Wonderland felt like....

We are ripping our hearts to shreds on what ifs.

Time to settle down and say: What am I going to do today? What am I going tomorrow? How do I keep the conservative movement alive through the primary system? I

If we eat each other up on what ifs that might not even come to be, what good are we doing for our goals, our hopes for the future, our candidates of choice?

Do you want to win, or do you want to go down in grief and hurt and anger over a hypothetical “what if?”

Decide what’s more important. This decision will affect your tomorrows, and maybe even your kids’ tomorrows, too.

There are too many wonderful Christian people here who have been intimidated into silence for too long.

Their gifts are too important to the success of the effort to restore and defend our free republic for that.

Hopefully, Jim’s springcleaning has made the house much more hospitable for real conservatives who love God, love life, love liberty, and love America.

If we let the wrong person in, the US will have lost the soul the founders created for it. Not sure how much I’m willing to work for that.

I heard the same back in 1992

I don’t think so. The bans have slowed to a crawl. But I went ahead and tried to explain to them why the Reagan stuff rubs us wrong. Did me a lot of good, too. Always does.
