Will ABC Cave on "The Path to 9/11" (Clinton pressuring ABC)

I’m hearing all kinds of disturbing, though predictable, stories about a Clintonista offensive against “The Path to 9/11,” an ABC documentary written and produced by Cyrus Nowrasteh ("Into the West"), and directed by David Cunningham ("To End All Wars").  I haven’t seen it yet (although I hope to this weekend), but it is already drawing rave reviews from people who have (the piece is reviewed at FrontPage, here).

  

Apparently, the documentary recounts the bureaucratic bungling and lack of action against al Qaeda that was pervasive prior to the September 11 atrocities.  It is by no means, I understand, pro-Bush.  It is, instead, an effort to present history accurately.  This evidently has many former Clinton officials and apologists in their default kill-the-messenger mode.  Great pressure is being brought to bear on ABC and Disney to reopen the editorial process at this late stage (the documentary is supposed to air on September 10-11) so that the years 1993-2001 may remain forever airbrushed.

  

Will they succeed?  This bears watching.

Hopefully, the producers will resist this kind of ugly pressure and keep it intact.

The fact that the Clintons would stoop to such disgusting interference speaks volumes about them. They truly are soulless, dispicable vermin.

There is a good documentary on 9-11 on "Court TV".
At some moments, I thought it was being unfair to Dubya, Condi and Co.
BUT...then it was also pretty straight up about Clinton's mishandling
of OBL.

It may be tough...but I've learned that any really good documentary on 9-11
will probably say less-than-positive things about Dubya and Bubba Clinton.

Not this time ... the word is out, to late to do re-shoots, editing will be difficult because the program timing, already established, would be difficult to manipulate. The buzz for this show assures ABC great ratings ... they love it.

I doubt that ABC is going to want the most popular talk show host in America spending ALL 3 hours on Tuesday, Sept. 12th...

Not to mention the fact that Hannity, Savage, Ingraham, Levin, Hewitt, Beck, and dozens of others, and the entire right-wing blogosphere, will be all over ABC like flies on ****.

When I first heard of the miniseries, I was skeptical.

But, per reviews, it does seem to be truth-telling.

I again am skeptical that ABC will air it uncut -- ABC, the network that tried twice to get a viewership for Commander-in-Chief.

If the Clinton forces are behind an effort to get the miniseries cancelled or edited, I'd have to bet it will happen, unless ABC can find some way to placate the Clinton machine. That could be bookoo's of free future advertising and puff pieces for some future female presidential candidate. The Clintons WILL get something out of this.
