I'm having pleasant fantasies this morning about the possibility of Ginsberg resigning when Alito joins the court since she will be unable, I sincerely hope, to continue imposing her liberal agenda on this country. Don't count your chickens too soon. If we get Alito we will have 4 solid votes: Scalia, Thomas, Roberts (we assume) and Alito. Kennedy is the new swing vote and he is NOT RELIABLE. We are still one vote away.

I love this happening on the day Joe Wilson's on the TODAY Show and speaking at the National Press Club. If a tree fell today, no one would hear it! LOL

He would be the FIFTH Catholic of the nine on Scotus. I wonder if Di Feinswine is going to give him a loyalty test as she did Roberts?

Intellectual flatus from the mind of Ellis Hennican....Ellis Hennican is a little pencil-necked, unserious dweeb. Too harsh?
;-)
A pie in the face would be good for him.

Maybe there should have been a law? It does sound odd, because 'harassment' IS disruptive, assuming it hasn't been defined down too far.

True, we have Roberts, already, but getting Alito through will be the true "war."
Bush has done his job, he nominated him. Now we'll see how our representatives in Congress fight this one.
I'll be pleasantly surprised if they stand with the Alito nomination.

Too conservative? Nobody can be too rich or too thin. Or too conservative.
I LIKE to see the veins pop out on Chuck Schumer's temples. Of course, no matter who George W. Bush may have nominated, Chuck's response would have been exactly the same.

FOX news says confirmation will be a "bloodbath" and "cataclysmic". BRING IT ON!!! This is the kind of shot in the arm the GOP needs right now.

Nope. I heard Kristol on a show a couple of days ago and Alito was one of the three he named as being excellent!

This guy's too old. Sheesh: Miers was 60, and everyone knows that women live 7-8 years longer, so physiologically, this guy's even older than Miers.
Why didn't the president choose someone more on the order of fifty.

I cannot believe people in here care that he is Catholic. I'd expect that to be from liberals who want Muslims and atheists.
You really can't please everyone, even with a great nominee.

No, Chuck would have endorsed Alberto Gonzales, as did Gonzales' friend Henry Cisneros, wouldn't he have?
