Yes, Steve, it surely will. I heard Sen. Lautenberg say that the Senators have no "plan" for this type of evacuation. He said that in the 20 years he has been there he has never seen a plan. What? Every government building, every major company, small companies, businesses, etc. have evacuation plans. Now, it might be true that they have not specifically told the Senators exactly what to do, etc. But, geeze, these people should take some responsability themselves. Haven't they addressed this issue without waiting for someone to do it for them?

They waste time going over the most stupid of details and proposals. How dumb that since 9/11 they have not taken some time to get familiar with the building evacuation plan. It doesn't matter why you are being evacuated, the plan is usually the same and only changes if entrances/exits are blocked, etc.

I thought "Capitol" is buildings "Capital" is money.

The term for a town or city that serves as a seat of government is spelled capital. The term for the building in which a legislative assembly meets is spelled capitol, going back to the Capitoline Hill in Rome where Jupiter's (the king of the gods) temple stood.

It's a very common mistake.

You know, those people are ~really~ maddeningly stupid, particularly the ones who smirk about how response time today was so much better than on 9-11. Not because we're wiser now, but because the president ~designed~ the 9-11 attacks. I swear if I ever met any of those people I would not be able to resist just poking their eyes out. It's kinda neat that it's designed to glide. When you're up there, if you let go of the controls, it goes into a nice, flat glide. If you passed out or something, it might save ya.
