Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

That's something else I just cannot understand. Most Christians and conservatives are anti-abortion and identify themselves as "pro-life". Yet they advocate the starvation and dehydration of Terri. I just don't get it. The life of an unborn child matters, but a full grown, mentally disabled woman's life does not??? I am soooo tired of hearing about the "cost" of caring for the disabled or the helpless elderly spewed forth by some of these people. Yes that is a real problem we have to finds solutions for, and soon. But to even consider murdering......uhhh, excuse me, putting them to sleep.....uhh, allowing them to die.... all because there is a cost involved in caring for them???? Some of the helpless elderly are our mothers and fathers, who cared for us faithfully when we were helpless infants. This is how society is planning on rewarding them???
God, family, country. Republican is somewhere down on the list. If my priorities don't set well with the Republican party, so be it.

It is important to remember that it is JUSTICE that the law is concerned with.
In the case of Terri Schindler (Schiavo) the affectation of JUSTICE has been subordinated and becomes just that: an affectation.
A steady encroachment of procedures and rules has superceded the implementation of JUSTICE. That is the fatal fault in this Schiavo affair and because of it the court has effectively executed her in a manner as dialectical as any Soviet court system or any of Hitler's courts.
The remedy to apply JUSTICE exists in Civil Rule 60(b)(11) which states: "Any other reason justifying relief from the operation of the judgment."
Any other reason justifying relief.
How about basic humanity as a reason to reinsert the feeding tube. Thereafter,
*a court appointed attorney/guardian *administer the proper medical tests such as an MRI *publically release the medical data *arrange for remedial treatment from those experts who have stated that it is possible, (and I am sure there will not be a lack of such individuals) and then let events proceed.
Mr. President, you could issue a presidential pardon to exonerate a women that the judiciary has condemned to die and also issue a presidential order which would proscribe the sequence:
*a stay *re-insertion of the tube *a proper medical evaluation*therapy
After which a final decision could be made.
We would call that JUSTICE.
Governor Bush you could also issue a reprieve (pardon) as if you were reprieving a condemned person from a death dictated by Judicial fiat.
The combination of these two pardons and a Presidential order would break the back of this judicial tyranny of rules and would afford some JUSTICE to prevail.

Her cremated body will be spread over a Schiavo property in Pennsylvania.

On one of our threads there's a picture of Lisa McPherson, who was starved and dehydrated by the Scientologist. For some reason the picture is not allowed to be on the thread -only a link to it.
It's horrible. She suffered so much.
Tons of videos. On-the-spot experiences with $cientologists, interviews, tv shows, new clips. It's the ones that shows their techniques for dealing with those who oppose them that will floor you. I see the same tactics from the Left.
Too many view unborn children as possibly making something of themselves one day whereas the disabled are of no use to society.....
