Had the same reaction to author King and more recently to a book I enjoyed, but wherein the author slid in a couple of lines here and there anti-republican, conservative, whatever, a book called "paranoia', and since I will not be reading the author anymore (even tho this book was a terrific, ingenious thriller) I can't even remember his name. LOL

Some yes, some no. Lumping all of 'em into one "detrimental" category would be inaccurate. High quality films are still made, and they're one of our culture's treasures.
