Free Republic is just like any other large gathering of people. Many people. Many ideas. Many opinions.

The large majority of us are everyday, workaday people who have found this forum to be the source of more information than we ever found anywhere else. This is our town square.

We sort through the bullshit and evaluate facts in any situation. For several years, I breaking news is old news to me by several days at least.

We tolerate the opinions of others, respectfully disagree and do not accept as fact anything without documentation.

When we are wrong, we say we are wrong.

In addition to our trolls, we have a small number of lunatic fringe. Pay attention Sean--trolls and the looneys are called out immediately.

I haven't listened to the clip, but if what he said is as posted above, perhaps Sean realizes no matter how fast he can pick up a good story, it is old news to us.

By attempting to lure FR posters to his site, he may break the big one.

Let me just say that I think its good that libertypost, Rush, Sean, Levin, Lucianne, Powerline, Drudge and NRO are all around.

It makes it hard for the left to take out any one of us. Redundancy (the good kind) or self-replicating backup systems will keep us around when Hillary! continues her assault on the first amendment.

Mark & Rush - consider this. If FR and the bloggers are around as the MSM 'boogeyman', then our individual failings are less important. And it doesn't matter what they are- battles with weight, meds or liberal future wives.

You all have contributed immeasurably to growing the conservative pie and we should focus on that rather than killing each other on how to divide the pie up.

But in context, he basically blasted the Forum here and what goes on here. Jim has done a fantastic job keeping people in line, sure people disagree but that's healthy. ........... I really think he owes that thousands of wonderful people who post here and especially the board founder an apology.
