Proof? While you are looking,

Here's the original post. Look at reply #50. He/She is a meterologist so let's presume they know more than we do ... http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1257266/posts?page=38#38

you might want to look over this petition signed by 17,000 scientists saying there is no scientific basis for global warming.

And this is what percentage of scientists in the field?

I remember the FD not allowing anyone but current, senior firefighters around GZ. I knew a girl who was there. Anyway, what could Hannity have done? Besides if I was the father of young children I would have thought twice about going there. I don't fault him for that.

Sean is merely looking towards the Left in preparation for getting Hillary and her minions on his show. He's trying to position himself by leaning left. I don't think he sees he's cutting off his nose....

It's Koo-kay, Kray-Zay, and downright FUN-NAY at times!

Or Neil Boortz

Maybe him too. He's not on here in NJ. I heard him last year when I was on vacation out west. Anyway, I never liked Hannity, and I'm gonna rubberneck this little fiasco for sheer enjoyment. And pile on too.

That's wrong information. On the 12th-14th most of the workers at GZ were civilians who had never been FF or LEO. That's the truth of it. And, I'll wager that they all had kids at home, and wives. I worked there with one guy who drove straight through from Alberta, Alabama to dig. He got in, and he left a family there to do it. Hell, I've got four kids and a grand who rely on me too. Everybody who volunteered in the first days "thought twice" but went in after considering the dangers.

"What could Hannity have done?" He's a big blue-collar kid, he could have gotten his hands dirty. Tim Robbins did. Daniel Baldwin did.

Nope, he's all talk. When the war came to his backyard and they asked for strong backs to help he did nothing.

I find it interesting that he thinks trolls and sundry idiot Dums are our own.

He may not have time to actually read FR himself. He may just assign a low-wage staffer to scan it and give him a summary report. In that case, his opinion will be that of the staffer, who has FR on his plate among other things, probably many other things.

Be that as it may, the context of his statements was obviously calculated to increase the hits on his new discussion forum. Money, in other words.

I believe Hannity has a good heart, but good hearts have been corrupted in the past by wealth and power. Those two things are to the human soul like raw sewage is to a squash.

He gives the military a voice on his radio show. I'm not disagreeing with you but he does use his show to help. That counts for something.

You know, I heard what Sean said yesterday and I thought it was very mild. The reaction here has made me think that perhaps I don't belong on FR. I have been flamed, insulted, chided, and misunderstood many times on FR. I agree with Sean that we "eat our own" because I have done similar things to others who post. It makes me weary to post only to have what I post completely misinterpreted, jumped on and mischaracterized by the intelligent articulate posters on FR. Which brings me to why I am bothering to write this.

You misconstrued what I wrote. I did not say YOU were sad, I said you make ME sad. I also said conservatives should be (IMO) optimistic. Your post was suicidally depressing, as is Mr. Savage's radio show. Bitching about how bad everything is does not do anything to help. Go to church, adopt a Soldier, be a mentor, work in a nursing home, visit a hospital oncology department, pray, but don't sit and wallow in the muck complaining. If you really feel as you do, do something besides write about it, and when you do post a response to someone, read the post so you can address the points made, not something you infer because you are depressed from listening to the Dark One.
Thanks and Love!
