I remember the FD not allowing anyone but current, senior firefighters around GZ. I knew a girl who was there. Anyway, what could Hannity have done? Besides if I was the father of young children I would have thought twice about going there. I don't fault him for that.

That's wrong information. On the 12th-14th most of the workers at GZ were civilians who had never been FF or LEO. That's the truth of it. And, I'll wager that they all had kids at home, and wives. I worked there with one guy who drove straight through from Alberta, Alabama to dig. He got in, and he left a family there to do it. Hell, I've got four kids and a grand who rely on me too. Everybody who volunteered in the first days "thought twice" but went in after considering the dangers.

"What could Hannity have done?" He's a big blue-collar kid, he could have gotten his hands dirty. Tim Robbins did. Daniel Baldwin did.

Nope, he's all talk. When the war came to his backyard and they asked for strong backs to help he did nothing.

He gives the military a voice on his radio show. I'm not disagreeing with you but he does use his show to help. That counts for something.
