The majority of scientists believe global warming is real.

Proof?

While you are looking, you might want to look over this petition signed by 17,000 scientists saying there is no scientific basis for global warming.

Haven't heard much from Lucianne herself lately. She's so past tense. And Drudge has become nothing more than Spyware-R-Us.

I heard his statements and to be honest I don’t agree with him. I think FR moderators do a fantastic job. I was just telling someone the other day on another site why I like FR over other sites and it is because the moderators here don’t take bull from anyone we just ZOT them and that has nothing to do if they are a lib or not.

Moderators on Freerepublic… KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I suspect Hannity’s ratings are down and didn’t think through what he is doing to some of his audience.

Rush is no better. He promots only himself.

Yes, he and Hannity promote themselves. Rush is better though because he actually can be funny and has twice the intellect.

Buh-bye Sean, I'm listening to Medved on the ride home from now on.

That's like giving up cooking sherry for Chivas.

All anyone has to do is visit any thread related to Islam to see his point about the self-marginalized fringe. Such posts are not based upon American conservative values but bigoted group-identity mau-mauing.

.

Beware.

Today HANNITY called us HILLARY-Fighting Freepers a "Fringe."

This week Newsmax.com's Dr. HIRSEN also called those fighting HILLARY for the longest time a "Fringe" in a GLOBE Magazine Cover Story. He went on to say that she may have been poisoned, thus bringing on her faint a week and a half ago.
He wonders, poisoned by WHO..?

A faint, by the way, that suddenly came on HILLARY the morning after the Women of Irag had freely voted for the first time in their lives, thanks to President BUSH..?

Which event was widely covered that morning by America's TV Media and which one wasn't, I wonder..?

HILLARY, I now presume, is fighting us from Within perhaps..?

.

Oh, ok. I've only been here for a relatively short while, I thought the ZOT was older than that.

I'm going to start rooting for Colmes to kick his ass.

He frequently does imo. I often disagree with Colmes, but his style of debating is much more cogent and convincing than Sean's.

Rush is the Godfather of conservative radio and a brilliant marketer and have you ever heard him start his own discussion forum like FR? He knows no one can beat FR. Hannity's blog will bomb quickly. It will be a joke after a year and he will wonder why it bombed and why he lost audience share.

>> What it really cost Hannity? He lost some Respect from Free Republic, and possibly some viewers. <<

I agree. I would add that in the year or so that I had been "lurking" and then the 6 months since I've become a member, I've seen a lot of folks 'go south' on Sean, without this sort of comment.

I'd say that this will push many of us away from caring at all what he says. That has to cost him viewers, buyers of his books, etc

--------------------

Haven't you seen this happen before to TV Celebrities and talking heads you like. Originally , they have a show you like and they have good points to express, but eventually they have to keep topping themselves to keep their ratings up and they begin to seem a bit flaky and less sincere, or a bit obessed.

I have this feeling that as everything that becomes popular like for example "Reality TV" it is copycatted until people become sick of it. The only prevention against this is to remain relevant by that I mean the main stream users of this site need to keep the focus on the major issues and not become a joke by descending into a mudslinging chat room void of good debate.

Do that. I was an Exec Assist to a Fed Judge for many years and "F Lee" is right on. I worked at te S.Ct. for a short time when the Chief Justice was Burger - very nice man but really denigrated by the "Ward Churchill" class of know-it-alls. He had a great deal of common sense - liberal elite can't stand that 'cause they don't know what it is.
