A liberal - To the Republican community. Should we leave? [too DUmb to ZOT]

A liberal - To the Republican community.

1. What are your goals as Republicans?

2. Is your goal to make Liberals to leave America?

3. If you want us to stay, when does this country go too far to the right?

4. If you want us to leave, will the US government pay for our plane tickets?

1) I'm not a Republican, but I will be voting Republican because they offer a cohernet policy. I support the war on terrorism and the Iraq liberation. I support Social Security reform. Something has to be done. Whether or not it will be Bush's plan or a joint plan by republicans and democrats is of little concern to me. Simply opposing SS reform will not impress me. I would be against gay marriage, but not against civil unions. I believe in stem cell research, but not fetal stem cells at this point in time. We have not clearly resolved the issue of where life begins. Creating it for medical research that is still in it's infancy while there are many other sources of stem cells to still investigate seems to be rushing into this.

2)I have never heard that goal stated. Nobody is forcing he liberals to leave, but to me it shows they are not really patriotic. It appears to be a voluntary act.

3)When it goes too far to the right is a judgement call. Perhaps you meant 'Why has the country gone to the right?'. I have gone to the right, because the left has had no message but Bush stole the election (in 2000 AND 2004), Bush caused 9/11, Bush is Hitler, Bush Lied, Bush is creating a New World Order, Bush want to chip us all, Bush is the anti-christ, Bush wants to ruin SS, etc. There was too much hate, not enough substance in the Liberal message.

To oppose Bush, they select Kerry. I cannot vote for a candidate who acted as Kerry did after Vietnam (or even during Vietnam). It is a disgrace he is even a Senator, and had a chance to actually become president. No message is presented, Kerry simply flashed back to his glory days as a protestor and flip-flopped his way towards election day.

4) Nobody asked you to leave. If you want to go, pay your own way. It is interesting you would be looking for a handout. That tells me right there I don't think like you do.

So ask yourself this....Why should Americans vote for liberals who claim to love their country, but have done nothing but bash it and it's president for the last 4 years? Then, they show how patriotic they really are by threatening to leave the country after they don't get their way in an election. Look at how liberals have acted over the last 4 years, and are acting now early in the second term.

Liberals are driving people away from their entire platform for the hate of one man and his cabinet. Join the fight on terrorism. Quit believing our country is evil and bent on taking over the world, encouraging the terrorists along the way. Both parties are supposed to work together for the good of the country. We make decisions as a nation and need to stand together behind these decisions as a nation.

It isn't the Republicans that have to make a change. Hillary sees that. She is playing the game of politics well. Lieberman gets some respect from me. On election night Obama sounded like the voice of reason for the Democrats, hinting they mat have to shift some of their stances in the face of the results. Zell is just an angry old man, but I applaud his wake-up call to his party.

Boxer, Kennedy, Dean, Gore, Kerry and others of their ilk turn people off real quick. Their grandstanding is hollow schtick that falls on deaf ears, except for an occasional chuckle at their vocal vomit.

I'll respond, but most of the responses were liberal hate posts about how the right can't wait for us to leave.

My question is, how can we share America? Perhaps one way would be to simply be states rights, and by doing this we seperate the federal government from the states. This way liberals live in all the blue states and conservatives in the red states.

The problem is, every time a liberal posts anything, it seems a lot of Republicans wont even listen. Most of the responses are "Ah just like them liberals, get out and stay out!" type of responses.

1. What are your goals as Republicans?

To own it all, and live a long time while doing so...

2. Is your goal to make Liberals to leave America?

Not if you can be of any use in the labor camps or organ farms!

3. If you want us to stay, when does this country go too far to the right?

Being right is a virtue. Being left is a curse...

4. If you want us to leave, will the US government pay for our plane tickets?

If you still have something to walk on, start trucking 'til you hit water, then start swimming, you useless toad...

Very well said. Conservatism isn't about what we're against, it's about what we support. There is the occasional faux conservative who knows absolutely nothing about conservative philosophy or principles, and instead defines himself/herself by what he/she opposes, but they tend to be rare on Free Republic.

Considering all the tofu they eat, all the pot they smoke and all the baths their more hippie elements don't take, that's a disgusting prospect.

Well, in the vast concentration camps I envision for liberals, there would be a staging area where we would feed them nothing but beef, beef, beef, with occastional side dishes of salads with blue cheese dressing, and potatoes with butter, cheese, and bacon bits. And we'd make them drink beer and smoke cigarettes and drive SUV's.

At that point, when they are filled up with good Republican foods, we'd bathe them, then slaughter them.

Then on to the canning plant they go.

a. To prevent the destruction of the Constitution of the United States by liberal judges. b. To oppose the normalization of the gay lifestyle.

I most humbly submit that you do not get it. Republicans aren't defined by what we are against, but rather on the proactive policies we support. In a nutshell we stand for a better, stronger, safer, more prosperous America, for all Americans, even homosexuals. We're a pretty neat bunch.

No, we want you to stay, stay, so you will be caught in the fallout when we use our ill-gotten loot to buy a fleet of atomic-powered starships and take off for Alpha Centauri or maybe Tau Ceti.

AARRGGHHH!!!!WRONG QUESTION. We know the lefties and their ideas much better than they know us.

People like us are desperately (hope am wrong) trying to STOP, just STOP for starters the drift of this country to the f'ing left.
Yes, even under Republican presidents and even under your "dreaded" W. (you heard of the new Medicare benefits, no child left behind, out of control judges...)

When the hell does it go enough to the LEFT for you guys???

When the Prez's first name becomes Teddy or Fidel???

You're right, a lot of the responses on this thread have been of that ilk. It's telling that of the posts that you could have chosen to respond to, it wasn't a constructive one that you chose, that you could actually start a dialog with-- it was one which you could point to as supporting your argument.

Again, this tells me a lot about your actual motivations.

My question is, how can we share America? Perhaps one way would be to simply be states rights, and by doing this we seperate the federal government from the states. This way liberals live in all the blue states and conservatives in the red states.

See, this is actual grounds for a dialog. You're actually proposing a solution to the problem.

My question to you would be: How would decentralizing toward state govenrment allow us to co-exist, if our respective goals are so disparate?

By the way, I tend to support states' rights over federal, where appropriate. I believe the smaller, and more local the government, the more effective and appropriate it is.

Fine ~ except that aren't but one or maybe two BLUE States at the most ...

look closely at the voting map & you will see that all of the rest of the BLUE color represents only BLUE CITIES within RED States.

Ok, I have more questions for you all, but I have some examples at well.

The reason liberals think Republicans(not conservatives in general) hate liberals is simply due to some of the rhetoric used by many very popular spokespersons for the party.

I'm not saying liberals don't have their extremes, but Republicans basically run the entire government now. So why as many Republicans still angree?

Also, what does the Republican utopia look like? I'm not against freedom or liberty. I don't want the government to give me free money, however I do expect the government to stop outsourcing jobs so I can make money and not have to beg the government for it. What is the Republican stance on outsourcing?

I also asked how far right is too right, meaning do we want to get rid of all social programs, public schools, everything, or do we want to keep these things? If you get rid of these things then the economy has to be kicking all ass to support 300 million people with jobs. How do Republicans plan to protect our jobs? Is having jobs by the Republican philosophy a birth right and what happens to people who don't have jobs when there are no social programs?

What does the Republican society look like? Is it a society which liberals can co-exist in or not? Thats the question. If liberals knew they could co-exist in a Republican society I don't think they'd attack Bush so hard, but as things are Liberals feel Republicans are trying to bully them. We either don't understand your ideology or we don't know where we fit in it.

Where to liberals fit in the Republican world? And try to respond in a civil way, no teasing or bullying because it only reinforces some of the stereotypes liberals have about you.

None of these statements are serious but the intent is. Liberals are the enemy and we will deprive them of political power at every turn at every possible juncture. Liberals started the war, now they are whining about it. If Conservatives are anything they are do-ers, not talkers. We intend to finish the war you started.

No my friend, they are not the enemy, they are the opposition, and they are our countrymen. It's an important distinction, because we want to crush our enemies. The Taliban was our enemy, Al Queda is our enemy and their destruction is our ultimate goal.

However, we want to put policies into place that will actually benefit our liberal countrymen. The tax cuts we fight for benefit the liberal as much as they benefit us. The umbrella of safety we dillegently support, protects the liberal as much as the conservative. The freedoms we protect, allow them the same freedoms that we allow ourselves. Just because the liberals might not recognize that what we seek is for their benefit in no way diminishes the benefit. In short, we want what's best for them too.

No need. At the rate liberals are aborting their babies (and or "marrying" members of their own sex) they will soon breed themselves out of existence. Either that, or they will congregate unarmed into the filthy slums they call cities (ie, the "blue" zones) where liberal activist judges will allow degenerates and armed criminals to prey on them and or they'll die off of drug overdose, aids or other sexually transmitted diseases. If that doesn't do it, we can always depend on global warming to eventually drown them like rats when the oceans rise up and flood all the coastal cities (ie, the "blue" zones).

I was reading this and going "Damn, just damn" until I got to the part about the global warming and noticed your tongue planted firmly in your cheek. That was good.

Actually, this thread has made me realize why my marriage to a woman much more liberal than myself has worked for so long: Neither of us has ever lost sight of the fact that both of us want what's best for the country. I get discouraged by guys like this when I realize they think we truely are out to poison the drinking water.
