ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE
**Exclusive**
In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

So the terrorists will make a strike on America IF George W. Bush wins again. Sounds like they are more afraid of Bush than sKerry.

The Terrorist know that President Bush will never stop hunting them down, so they are trying to bend us to their will. Just like always, do what we say or we will hurt you. Defeat Bush or pay with blood.
We could give in to them, appease them, but do any of you really think that they will stop the killing? NO! This has been going on for decades and the appeasers have never won.
I think the terrorist have us Americans all wrong; we are not France or Spain. We will not kowtow to their demands; instead we will steel our resolve to destroy them.
You can bet there would have been equipment in the area for ABC to get this tape immediately transmitted. If they received the tape on the weekend, it should have immediately been turned over to the Feds. Any tape purporting to be from a terrorists needed turning over ASAP. Saying they had to listen to it first -- why? Do they have anyone at their HQ that had the expertise to review the tape for content? No way!
IMO, this was all done by ABC to keep the attention on the weapons dump story to hurt Pres Bush and when that blew up in smoke they figured they had better turn this tape over to the Feds. No news organization with any integrity would have held this tape even overnight without contacting someone in the Federal Government.

Yes, yes yes!!!!!! I have said this for a long time, people freak out about Hillary but I'm thoroughly convinced that Clinton would have NEVER been elected if we were as strong now as we were then.
I guess we'll have to wait and see how this story plays out. We have six days to go until the Big Day. I think we all know that if a plot exists, that there is little we can do, except follow the provisions of the Patriot Act and keep our eyes open.

Absolutely, the country thinks New York but this report suggests Westwood where the Twin Towers of business are and other Los Angeles areas are the more likely targets.
Before faulting ABC for not broadcasting the tape, consider that the CIA is analysing the tape and the Pentagon is doing the translation.
ABC appears to be doing the responsible thing and waiting for a 'go ahead' from the Pentagon/CIA.
Such a tape could be very significant. A report a bit earlier said bin Laden had been sighted and the Adam Gadahn story is breaking.
Something could be up.
And your point "is" what? All the jumping to conclusions about treasonous activities are just a little over the top and uncalled for in the face of very little evidence don't you think?
This situation highlights the importance of Drudge. Someone at ABC is concerned that his/her "News" org is sitting on a story for political reasons [remember Newsweek and Monica Lewinski?]This person has knowledge of the contents of the tape and alerts Drudge. Then-- (1)Drudge posts it. (2)Millions know about it. (3)ABC is screwed.
Why do I get the feeling that "Assam the American" saw too many Beavis and Butthead cartoons ("I am the great Cornholio. Whoa, hehehehe, that was cool.")

I don't for one minute think ABC should have shown it on the air without knowing its authenticity. But if they held it from HS or CIA etc., that's a different story. We're not talking about a bunch of bogus TANG memos here, this is about national security.
