ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE

In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

No outlet under any circumstances should run propgaganda on behalf of terrorists so ABC did the right thing.
I would like to know why they (terrorists) believe an ABC reporter in Pakistan is the best method to use to get their message out.
I hope our FBI agents are in Pakistan and talking to the reporter who was given this tape-hopefully hot on the trail.
Something is going to (hopefully) hit the fan re: Soros tomorrow on the steps if the US Congress. Let's hope it's something BIG.

ABC News gets a tape-supposedly in Pakistan- and it has this guy who says he is an Al Queada person and goes on and on about how America is going to be attacked for making war on Islam, etc. etc.
Now ABC is spending "24 hours a day" trying to "authenticate" the tape. I wonder how one does that.
Call Al Quaeda International Headquarters and ask for confirmation?

Fart around for six days and show the tape after the election?
They should report the tape as an alleged Al Quaeda tape and let the chips fall where they fall.

I wish Drudge had not jumped the gun on this. It took the spotlight off of Bush's "missing munitions" attacks - and he has been very strong today.
While any city hit would be a catastrophe, Houston would be one of the worst as it would devastate the energy industry and refineries, causing fuel to go up to astronomical prices and collapse the economy here.

No--it's just the opposite. ABC was probably going to hold onto this tape until AFTER the election was over. If it was released now, it would reinforce the primary campaign issue for President Bush and he would win in a huge landslide as the electorate is reminded about the events of 9/11. We would have a similar unity as a nation like we did 3 years ago, and JOhnKErry would become just that... a joke.

How about physical evidence from the original tape itself? Would that not be material?
