ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE
**Exclusive**
In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.
ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.
The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.
ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.
"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.
The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.
According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.
The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

The campaign has swallowed us all up, it is all we think about. At least me. I get on the puter morning and nite, during work. I get outraged at the dems, the msm, Kerry , his half drunk wife.
But this is sobering and different. This is a threat to all of us. Schools were mentioned. I have grandchildren. We ought to spend our time thinking and planning what we as citizens need to do, need to watch.
They would just send the video on the tape via an affiliate. It would take no longer then to get the tape to an affiliate and then to watch it. I am sure there are plenty of broadcast stations in Pakistan where they could accomplish this. They probably have their own Sat trucks in Pakistan.
They are claiming that the tape was found this past week-end in Pakistan and that the CIA is working around the clock to verify. I would hope that ABC is working in conjunction with Homeland Security to make sure that prior to airing there are no "hidden codes" or "hidden messages" etc.
But I find it suspicious that info. was leaked to let everyone know that ABC has the tape to begin with....maybe ABC was trying to get a jump on the story before info. on a new tape was released to all MSM.
My personal opinion is the Kerry/Edwards are toast anyway...no matter what "October Surprise" occurs.
All the more reason for ABC to have turned it over IMMEDIATELY to the Feds!! This stuff is too serious to play partisan politics with. As stated time and again by others upthread - the holding of this tape is tantamount to treason.
A day and a half ago is Monday. Over the weekend (in Pakistan) could mean Sunday. Transport time, etc...puts the timeline of getting the tape to the states sometime on Monday...same time as the Feds got it.
Top of the hour ABC radio news, still reporting on lost material at KAKA. Traitors!!!

Their "best shot"--and there were already articles about this in THE USA Today early in the month--would be to attack on Election Day in order to keep the final election tally from being ultimately conclusive. By attempting to "disenfranchise" voters in a significant city in a swing state, they would keep Kerry from conclusively losing, and thereby not only keep the election results open-ended, but attempt to give the Kerry legal team an open door to eventually "revote" in one key state after all the other states were done...this is what some Dems actually wanted in 2000 in Florida...there were weird ideas afloat about having an entire state "re-vote" as if there was any legal grounds for doing so.
Logically speaking, if terrorists picked Election Day it would make more sense for them to do it in the early evening on the West Coast (so as not to convert voters across the nation into a single-issue reason for voting in Bush). On the other hand, if terrorists didn't care about the popular vote tallies but simply wanted to disrupt the election process, it would also be more logical for them to attempt to hit a major city in a major electoral swing state--attempting to keep a large pocket of electoral votes from being able to declare a victor--which would rule out the Left Coast since it's gonna go Kerry.
If I had to pick cities more "at risk" it would be comparably conservative cities in swing states--cities like Orlando or Cincy. Or whatever the most conservative major city in Texas (yes, not a swing state, but the terrorist objective would be to keep a high # of electoral votes out of the final Bush count & also "punish" Bush in his home state). Also, picking a Texas city to hit at night would not effect the outcome of how East Coast voters voted...and in most other states, the majority would have already voted by then.
The terrorists know that the MSM AND the American public is already hyped up for mass media coverage of the Elections. What better way to inflict terror, their goal, than to transform the entire election process & ensuing coverage than to replace the focus on American democracy with anarchy.

They were going to keep it until Sunday night and then play it in hopes of influencing the election.
Give Kerry a chance to say "See, he told us he'd keep us safe and he can't."
I'll bet an employee of ABC sympathetic to the Bush administration called them or leaked it to Drudge. This is too big a story to keep quiet at ABC and someone found out about it and realized it is wrong.
