ABCNEWS HOLDS TERROR WARNING TAPE

**Exclusive**

In the last week before the election, ABCNEWS is holding on a videotaped message from a purported al Qaeda terrorist warning of a new attack on America, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.

The terrorist claims on tape the next attack will dwarf 9/11. "The streets will run with blood," and "America will mourn in silence" because they will be unable to count the number of the dead. Further claims: America has brought this on itself for electing George Bush who has made war on Islam by destroying the Taliban and making war on Al Qaeda.

ABCNEWS strongly denies holding the tape back from broadcast over political concerns during the last days of the election.

The CIA is analyzing the tape, a top federal source tells the DRUDGE REPORT.

ABCNEWS obtained the tape from a source in Waziristan, Pakistan over the weekend, sources tells DRUDGE.

"We have been working 24 hours a day trying to authenticate [the tape]," a senior ABCNEWS source said Wednesday morning.

The terrorist's face is concealed by a head dress, and speaks in an American accent, making it difficult to identify the individual, but US intelligence officials believe that man may be Adam Gadhan - aka Adam Pearlman - a southern California native who was highlighted by the FBI in May as an individual most likely to be involved in or have knowledge of the next al Qaeda attacks.

According to the FBI, Gadahn, 25, attended al-Qaida training camps and served as an al-Qaida translator.

The disturbing tape runs an hour -- the man simply identifies himself as 'Assam the American.'

That is such a good point, Peach. "Trying to authenticate the tape" confirms that they held it for some time. Some of the stuff that goes on is just hard for me to believe!

I agree we should plan, but lets see what the CIA says first. I already have a terrible case of PEAD (Pre-Election Anxiety Disorder) and I just can't go off half-cocked on this also. The campaign has swallowed us all up, it is all we think about. At least me. I get on the puter morning and nite, during work. I get outraged at the dems, the msm, Kerry , his half drunk wife. But this is sobering and different. This is a threat to all of us. Schools were mentioned. I have grandchildren. We ought to spend our time thinking and planning what we as citizens need to do, need to watch.

I FULLY blame the Democrats for diving this nation and slowing down the fight, the funding and tainting world opinion on the absolute DEADLY THREAT these bastards are to the world. Logically speaking, if terrorists picked Election Day it would make more sense for them to do it in the early evening on the West Coast (so as not to convert voters across the nation into a single-issue reason for voting in Bush). On the other hand, if terrorists didn't care about the popular vote tallies but simply wanted to disrupt the election process, it would also be more logical for them to attempt to hit a major city in a major electoral swing state--attempting to keep a large pocket of electoral votes from being able to declare a victor--which would rule out the Left Coast since it's gonna go Kerry.

If I had to pick cities more "at risk" it would be comparably conservative cities in swing states--cities like Orlando or Cincy. Or whatever the most conservative major city in Texas (yes, not a swing state, but the terrorist objective would be to keep a high # of electoral votes out of the final Bush count & also "punish" Bush in his home state). Also, picking a Texas city to hit at night would not effect the outcome of how East Coast voters voted...and in most other states, the majority would have already voted by then.

Based on your criteria, I would have to say Philadelphia. Pennsylvania isn't the must up-for-grabs state, but the Philadelphia area is the fifth largest in the country.

Their assertion they were trying to authenticate the tape is cover for why they were caught holding onto a tape with such potential national security implications.

I wish this was CBS instead of ABC becasue of CBS' earlier public problems. But ABC, the more the merrier on MSM's going down.

CBS and NBC probably have their own copies of this tape, but nobody has dropped a dime on them yet.

I would be very watchful in large sporting/concert/convention/church events. Particularly before the election.

Being there seems to be a southern California connection, be particularly aware in the Rose Bowl, Olympic Coliseum, Staples Center, Anaheim Pond, and all major convention halls on days they have big crowds. Any California concerts with large crowds would be big targets.

Secondary targets that would look like an attack on religion would be the Los Angeles Catholic Cathedral during services, the Crystal Cathedral in the city of Orange that holds large crowds and any other religious service that can have thousands there.

If there are places like movie houses where people are never searched that have hundreds watching movies, those would be the easiest prime targets IMO, food courts in food centers and so on.
