PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE III (live thread)
10.13.04 | Joe, and the rest of FR.

Posted on 10/13/2004 5:19:44 PM PDT by Joe Hadenuf

45 minutes to go. If there is already a live debate thread go ahead and delete this.

I understand posting a live thread has become a somewhat of a political ordeal here, when it shouldn't be. So to take the pressure off, I'm posting this anyway. Do I dare? LOL!

"I know several gay Republicans. They vote on less government, tax cuts and security."

I too know several gay people. All of which are men though. Anyway you are right. All of them just want to feel safe from others, and the rest of their issues are just like my straight guy friends issues (most of which you already posted).

*Not one of them want to legalize gay marriage either*! They say they don't need it, and with their lifestyle most don't want the pressure or having to tell everyone they are gay. These are not closet gays either; they just don't want the marriage thing because what doors it will open. In other words they fear the real freaks out there who will want to marry more than 1 person, or their dog or something.

I think he said it three times.
I thought about Kennedy and "Cuber".

Heh-heh. Can you imagine the conversation in the Ketchup-limo right now?

Kerry: "Honestly money - I mean honey...I meant I married UP to your sophistication and refinement!

TaRAYza: "Shove it, John."

"He IS Ted Baxter."

...without the charm.

Oh, man. You won't believe this. Some freaky, filthy hippy just showed up at my door. "Hi, it's the Sierra Club." I told him, "It's WAY too late." He says, "But we go till 9." I tell him, "Well, you can go somewhere else till 9" and slammed the door in his face. Sheesh!

"Tim Russert on MSNBC Kerry was "Single Minded"

LOL, what are these people going to do when he loses? Oh, I guess I know the answer. They will go after GW for the next 4 years in ways that will curl our hair.

Mary Beth Cahill when asked why Kerry brought it up:Mary Cheney is prominent in this campaign and (her sexuality?) is fair game..

Got a big thumbs down on Fox (gratuitous)and a groan in the press room I hear when Kerry brought up Mary is a lesbian...(Of course Cheney was great...so loving and gracious after Edwards brought it up..).

---Mary Beth Cahill proclaimed tonight that discussing Mary Cheney's sexuality was fair game. Cahill is scum.---

The Dems are playing the gay card the same way they play the race card, something to hit the right over the head with. The Dems are all attack and no heart or soul.

I know a lot of people don't like Bush and are longing for a mythical John Kennedy to take the helm, but John Kerry is definitely not the one. The Dems are not a great party anymore.

RE: Stupid Americans and TV . . . I heard this AM on TV that more Americans watched the first debate, than watched the finale of Friends. I was greatly heartened by that.

They think people of faith are hypocrites who will scorn someone because they have a gay child they accept.

They are wrong.

Funny this point would come up -- Neal Boortz was talking about this just the other day. He said that "asking for the sale" is key to making the sale. It's right out of Salesmanship 101 apparently (Boortz sold jewelry and insurance at different times and seemed to know what he was talking about). I was glad to see the Prez ask for the sale.

Exactly what I said to my husband (we are both in sales)...He asked for the business! He closed the sale...
