Did Edwards just say, "The Vice President and the President elect?? The guy is a prophet!
To: KellyAdmirer
"Senator, frankly your record in the Senate is not very distinguished." "I am the President of the Senate. The first time I ever met you was when you walked on the stage tonight." Pow, zoom, to the moon!!!!!!!!Reminds me of a college instructor who notes his student has not attended class the entire semester then wants to be rewarded with a high grade.

Wonder if Breck Boy is going to try and sue Cheney for mental cruelty, public humiliation, and loss of consortium?

Edwards was trying to say education had nothing to do with jobs - lame attempt to make it like Cheney was dodging the question.
To: occutegirl
No she isn't.
He's cracking wise and she is insulted.

I will be the first to admit it, I wanted Cheney gone and off the ticket, but the man is so devastatingly good at this, its amazing. Usually VP debates have little affect on the outcome of the Presidency but Cheney just might be changing history tonight.

If this was a prize fight, the Breck boy would have been carried off on a stretcher by now.
Breck Boy is really way out of his league tonight.

The look Cheney just gave when Edwards came out with his attempt at a big line of the night - "Mr. VP, I don't think we can take four more years of this - was absolutely priceless. It was like, wow, how clever. LOL.

"Getting rid of tax cuts" = Tax INCREASE.
To: TomGuy
Edwards must be nervous. He has sipped from his cup 6-8 times already.
That, and the fact that he's blinking like he's standing a hundred yards from Mt. Saint Helens....Cheney's got his number so far - bigtime.

Thanks for that link!
I'm there shortly. This is fun!!!

If Edwards wanted tax cuts for the middle class, where was he for the vote the other week?
To: AmericanInTokyo
"I did not see you in person until tonight, as President of the Senate". Smackdown!

I love Cheney. What class. When the breck girl said "we can't take four more years of bush-cheney", trying to egg him on, Cheney just looks at Gwen and gives a wry smile- as if to say "not worth a response."

Edwards just reeled off a string of mostly excellent votes by Cheney when he was in the House ... not sure what the point of that was ...
To: jmstein7
Good thing there isn't a mercy rule in the debates, or this one would have been called long ago.
To: Jorge
Edwards is sounding really juvenile in his responses. I noticed that too.
