This American Hero is doing a great job! Go Swift Boat Veterans for Truth!
He starts off with:
five miles across the Cambodian border
And then he proceeds to confirm the apparent meaning:
The absurdity of almost being killed by our own allies in a country in which President Nixon claimed there were no American troops was very real."
There's the "in" and he clearly meant "Cambodia".
Carl Cameron with Fox went to the Kerry campaign yesterday asking about Kerry's saying he had been in Cambodia and they denied he said it and meant "near". Then Cameron confronted them with the letter I am referring to from 1979 and the Congressional Record of 1986 in which the context seems clear, if more parsable, that Kerry was telling the same tale.
I contend the 1979 Boston Herald missive is pretty darn plain in its meaning. The Kerry camp has still not gotten back to Cameron on an explanation.
It's all been good. There's a lot more truth to be found and told. The liberal media can't hide from it forever. For the Kerry Lurkers,
Kerry can make it easy or he can make it hard but the truth will never be hidden in the rhetoric, propaganda and spin. Remember the numbers 180!
OK Lanny. :-}
Only very very vaguely, and not that I can put my finger on. But it was slightly familiar, so it must have registered somewhere along the line.
Rush may have been talking about this, maybe he was again today referring to it, not sure, was only half-listening then. He was talking about the CFR stuff, and the ways around it.
This may be part of what he was alluding to.
I guess this Swift boat book is going to cause quite the dustup about that movie, eh?
I'm right with you, girl friend.
I have SO much information crammed into my brain right now, sometimes I just have that "What?" look on my face, you know?
Hehe. Caught in a trap. And he set it himself.
It's hard to keep it all straight, some days...
Hey where are the POW-MIA families? I distinctly remember Kerry and McInsane fighting like fury during the Congressional hearings Kerry headed, to be sure that our missing POW's and MIA's were left over there, and all stories of sightings were discredited. Why isn't that being brought up, and the public reminded?
It really needs to be aired. It was absolutely shameful.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were somehow behind this. This makes a Hillary run a definite in '08 and (if Kerry is forced to drop out) in '04 maybe
Imagine if one of Kerrys counterparts on the North Vietnamese side had gone back to Hanoi after his tour of duty and said the things Kerry had said only about his country? The Communist would have had him executed within a day.
Your statement is something that is certainly missing from everything I've watched and read. Very much like all the ignoring in the media of the Saddam atrocities.
Kerry got off the boat. This was a major breach of standing procedures. Nobody on a boat crew ever got off a boat in a hot area. EVER! The reason was simple. If you had somebody on the beach your boat was defenseless. It couldn't run and it couldn't return fire. It was stupid and it put his crew in danger. He should have been relieved and reprimanded. I never heard of any boat crewman ever leaving a boat during or after a firefight.
U.S. Naval Support Base Activity Detachment Sa Dec (1966-1971)
Located on the south bank of the Mekong River in the center of the Republic of Vietnams Mekong Delta, Sa Dec was the site of a forward combat base during the Vietnam War. A ten boat section of River Division 52 first deployed there during the summer of 1966 as part of the Game Warden operation, which sought to interdict enemy logistic traffic on the larger rivers.
Naval leaders chose Sa Dec as a staging area because the city lay astride the key waterway of the area and was accessible to logistic support vessels steaming upriver from the South China Sea. In addition, a Vietnamese Army compound there contained adequate facilities, including a boat yard and a small marine railway for the intermediate-level repair of river patrol craft.
A detachment of Naval Support Activity, Saigon provided the combat unit with logistic support and oversaw base development, including the installation of a pontoon pier. Fuel storage bladder, and a boat ramp. The naval facility at Sa Dec was turned over to the Vietnamese Navy as part of the Vietnamization program in April 1971.. ABM

Evidence Shows Crewmate Rev. Alston Never Served Under Sen. Kerry
So did Buchanan question the Kerry flunkie about their official position on Cambodia?
Yes, and then some. They covered the fact that Nixon wasnt even the president at the time and that skery was back at camp 55 miles away dreaming about plums or some such sh!t and writing a letter to his folks. O'Neil ROCKED Kerry on Scarborough. Pat even assisted. Much much better than H+C. No liberal interupters either.
Bump!
