This American Hero is doing a great job! Go Swift Boat Veterans for Truth!
Has O'Reilly come out against John O'Neill and the Swiftvets against Kerry?
I think you're right.
Watched the Hannity and Colmes Swift Boat hour. I'm truly amazed that most are missiing an important (IMO) point:
According to the spin, those who are supporting him served with him while those atttacking him did not. Not true. Those who served with him were 18, 19, and 20 year old kids on his boat who were in awe of anyone over the age of 24 with rank and authority, regardless of competence.
The Swift Boat vets who oppose Kerry were either peers (similarly ranked) who had to work with him on a daily basis and didn't like having to cover their asses because of his reckless incompetence, or senior officers who gave him less than stellar evaluations.
Senior officers in any service do not suffer fools, and I'm sure Kerry was branded the moment he reported for duty when he said, "Ensign Kerry reporting for duty, Sir. By the way do you know I went to Yale."
He was a horse's ass then, and he's since proved it.
Almost.
Basically, Yes.
O'Neil said several times - he never met sKerry - in Viet Nam. O'Neil got sKerry's boat when he left.
Actually lawdog, if you have tivo or the like, go back to the close of the interview. When Colmes says "I disagree with you, but thanks for your service" (or some such), the view pans out. You'll notice all the doc's Hannity has and what Alan has.
I think Alan didn't even care what the answer was, he was simply forwarding the questions as talking points..
O'Neil scoring pts with PAt...
You have a great profile page. Loved the Tommy Franks quote. LOL. Thank you for your service, Aloha from Maui.
Buchannan interviewing O'Neil. The #3 boat blew up throwing crewmen into the water. The other boats circled and surrounded it picking up survivors. Kerry's boat fled. Kerry turned around and came back and picked up a crewman that had not been picked up yet.
Purple hearts are faud. Rice in the butt!
Ohhh this is just the beginning! Go ONeill!!
I try really hard to like Hannity. He seems like a good guy, but he often comes across as an intellectual lightweight incapable of thinking on his feet. Its like when some bogus charges of racial insensitivity are made against the GOP and his stock response is that Senator Byrd was a member of the KKK.
Add that to the fact that he constantly interrupts people, even those on his side. Just notice how when someone is trying to, and is on the verge of, finishing a thought and Hannity will very gratingly start trying to talk before they finish.
But anyway, I'll have to tape the rerun of this tonight. Its 2 AM, right?
Go, Chieftain! Thank you!
O'Neil is doing great - and Pat is letting him actually finish his thoughts... ASking all the right questions.
People watching MSNBC are actually getting more of the story than those who watch Fox. Incredible.
I heard on Sean's show today that it was Lanny Davis.
ONeill repeats....If kerry can prove he was in cambodia xmas 69 he can sue me in the morning
THAT's the kind of picture I'm talking about!
Every time one of the slime balls says "you weren't on his boat" they should pull out THAT PICTURE and say "Let me show you how closely we served with John Kerry!". (Though I still prefer using the very frame from Kerry's own puff-bio-film from the donkeyfest.)
All I have to do is watch my father's eyes when names like "Jane and John" are mentioned to know how deep these 'peaceniks' left their mark.
I see the remnants of them at current protests. I observe them in the media and Hollywood. I see their influence on the world community as a whole.
The terrorists must be defeated but no more so than these soulless creatures. Their objective is the same. The destruction of our country.
The history you relate just furthers the lie they have told to millions of people my age through the haze of entertainment. They attempt to make the era seem appealing when it the truth is far different.
O'Neil now on Scarborough, interviewed by Pat Buchanan. It is devastating to Kerry.
"One day in October 1969, Peggy Kerry was working in the New York office of a Vietnam War protest group that was planning a "moratorium" peace rally in Washington, which would draw 250,000 protesters one month later. A leader in the New York protest, Adam Walinsky, a former speechwriter for Robert F. Kennedy, said he needed a pilot and plane to take him around the state on Oct. 15. Did anyone know a pilot?"
"Peggy Kerry said she would provide such a volunteer: her brother."
