While the nuts were gathering in the Beverly Hilton for their childish "Hate Bush" meeting, the America-loving, President Bush-loving folks from all around were joining up with signs and cheers on Wilshire Boulevard, across the street from the hotel.
And it wasn't just us Freepers-- the very good looking College Republicans from Loyola Marymount, Ted Hayes, and other happy people who heard about the rally from all the talk shows today (thanks talk show hosts!) were out there with us. Signs were upbeat: "Luvya Dubya", "L.A. Loves W.", "Real Men Love G.W." (that was Outraged, who was dressed in his superman costume), "President Bush is My Hero", and of course there were lots of American Flags.
As RonDog waved with his big Mickey Mouse hand and we waved our signs chanting "President Bush!" and "Five More Years!" TONS of cars passed us, many of them HONKING THEIR HORNS in support-- much more than I had expected, actually. I keep wanting to believe that more and more people are rejecting the liberal trash in LA; my experience at rallies over the years suggests to me that there is a changing tide. Yes, we got a lot of middle fingers-- one of the most common forms of expression from liberals-- but on the BIRD-OMETER, with the rally in front NBC studios during the Al Gore hissy fit being a 10, this ranked a 4. At that rally we got a lot of screaming curse words as well, but at this one, the anger was actually WAY, WAY toned down with a few "He's an idiot" comments and 'thumbs down' but the RAGE wasn't there.
Lots of media showed up: KTLA 5, CBS 2, channels 9 and 11 as well, plus a CBS from Sacramento.
The energy was really good, and, although the Hate Bush attendees came in through the backway from the parking garage and avoided us, there were a few loitering in the lobby who could see us, and well, if they watch the news tonight, I guess they'll get an earful.

P.S. I saw two people give us the finger with one hand, while holding their phones in the other-- while DRIVING.
I got home fairly late from a local conservative action committee meeting last night and caught a thread that said your Freep was going to be aired on Scarboro Country on MSNBC at 10 eastern time.It appears that like Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca, I was mis-informed. :(
I missed it, do you know if he aired the segment, did anyone see it?

Apparently, Scarborough Country has finished it coverage.
All they has was a "discussion" between Lee Greenwood and some liberal wacko lady representing the "Creative Coalition."

Hey Ron, good job once again. You may not have gotten good coverage on site by MSNBC, but they sure covered the subject and revealed the democrats for the bottom feeders they are.
Five to six quotes were provided by actors who trashed Bush. The stand in anchor railed on the idiots who made the statements. Baldwin, Sheen and others were outed.
The meeting in Hollywood was mentioned. The host asked, why do these people hate Bush so much?
All in all, this topic got good coverage and your contacts with MSNBC may have egged that on. Good work.

btw, most people who hated Clinton did so because of his evil deeds and the harm he was doing to America. These bozos who hate Bush, do so because he is good, and strong, and has moral clarity.

Tuesday Dec. 3, 2003; 11:02 a.m. EST Clintons Behind L.A. 'Hate Bush' Event
The invitations to the gathering labeled a "Hate Bush" strategy session by the Drudge Report may have come from Seinfeld producer-spouse Laurie David. But the agenda for the event held Tuesday night at Los Angeles' Beverly Hilton was scripted by Bill and Hillary Clinton.
Ostensibly, the session "was an attempt to acquaint the liberals with Americans Coming Together, an initiative to mobilize Democrats in 17 states that may prove crucial to the outcome of the 2004 presidential race," reported the Los Angeles Times in Wednesday editions.
The meeting was "also intended to build support for the Media Fund, an effort organized by Harold M. Ickes, a former key aide to President Clinton," the paper said.
But according to CNN, it was Hillary Clinton who dominated last night's ACT event, albeit in absentia.
"Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) won't be in attendance, but her name is 'written all over' the event," reported the network's "Morning Grind" on Tuesday. "HRC's HILLPAC 'is the force behind' Americans Coming Together."
ACT, whose official chief is EMILY's List president Ellen Malcom, was created to find loopholes in recently implemented campaign finance reform law, so Democratic Party fatcats like billionaire George Soros can pony up tens of millions of dollars to defeat President Bush next year.
The tip off to the Clintons involvement in the "Hate-Bush" gathering is the presence of Mr. Ickes, whose characterization by the Times as a former key Clinton aide tells only part of the story.
According to one-time Clinton insider Dick Morris, "Ickes is about as independent of Hillary as Bill is."
Writing in the New York Post last week, Morris described Ickes as Mrs. Clinton's "chief advisor."
"His photo graces her memoirs. He was her key operative in securing the Senate seat in New York. To pretend that anything he would do is independent of Hillary is like saying that the left hand is independent of the right hand."
Morris says the Ickes-Malcom-Soros effort is a bid by the former first couple to retain control of the Democratic Party's money machine at the expense of the party's probable 2004 nominee, Howard Dean.
Of course, should Mrs. Clinton decide to jump into the presidential race at the last minute, it wouldn't hurt that the former first couple already controlled a huge chunk of their party's campaign cash.
Bing! Childish is exactly the term. If you changed it to "Hate Britney" it would sound exactly like something a coven of catty little third grade girls would come up with, a "Hate Britney Club."
