Good work Joe. I thought Squanto was too intelligent to be a true DU'er.

Are those Hinds people STILL VOTING??!! Any way they're going scare up say 50-60,000 Dem votes? How many cemeteries and taxidermists does it have!

What did einstein say about doing the same thing and expecting a different result? That you'll eventually find yourself voting for left wing socialist.

I think the expression "rolling on the floor laughing" was invented by someone hearing Jerry. He was about as funny as one can get ..... and his material was clean as a whistle .... true family entertainment.

"Why is Fox News still calling the Miss. race still to close to call!" Fox is re-running tape from hours ago - Carl Cameron just said MS is "much too close to call," at 12:32AM Mississippi time.

I was SQUANTO. I thought you seemed suspiciously coherent and well-informed.
Now the denizens of DU have to wonder how many of their members slap their knees and giggle after each frothing post...

What did einstein say about doing the same thing and expecting a different result? Insanity.

You can't believe how happy I am. I ADORE Haley too.

Get that language, "ousting Democrats from power" like Darth Sidius in the Republic Senate. (geek alert)

I was listenin' to my tape of Jerry Clower Does it have the story of "The Last Piece of Chicken", or the 'haint' in the old house; "Are you gonna be here when JOHN gets here?" They are two of my favorites!!

I thought you went to bed WD. Hey, your Mom is my age. I'm still working. Still doing volunteer work, having fun. You are right about no house in sight in WV. You can drive some of the mountain roads and not see a house for 50 miles. Problem is, it's too hard to build a house that won't slide down the mountain in a heavy rainfall. Only place to build is in the deep valleys along the creek banks where you get washed away when it rains LOL. So, it's great for hiking, skiing, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, hunting.

Clower's coon-huntin' story and his account of his friend, Marcel Ledbetter, taking a chainsaw to a bar are two of the funniest things I've ever heard. God Bless Jerry, as he's with Him, now. He helped lots of folks to crack a smile, which ain't a bad epitaph.
Amen, on all counts. Marcel and the McCulloch chainsaw - what a classic. My cousin and I heard that for the first time years ago while driving late at night. I believe it came on WWL 870 AM (the "Charlie Douglas Road Gang" radio show). Had to pull off the road until the spasms of laughter subsided. :-)

Washington lobbyist Haley Barbour unseated Mississippi Democratic Gov. Ronnie Musgrove as the GOP swept both governors' races at stake Tuesday It's good to be a proud member of the VRWC. Ahhhh.

Now, last question of the evening -- will we hit 2000 posts?
